Great review as always, thanks. Is it able to detect/predict the interaction between the "club" and ball. If you made a thin or a fat shot or a shank? And whether the club face was open or closed etc?
Well it sounded like you had lots of fun. Playing with kids and the family or in a hotel or something away on a trip would really be fun. This unit keeps shining. Ya a unit only for even cheaper would be outstanding.
Without the official pattern you are going to get estimates spin and spin axis and there are misreads with both. I'll have a video on it for sure but the balls or dots from rapspdoballdots.com are going to be the best option.. they make square dots that i will review soon
@@alec2568 No issues with the pattern but what we found is that there is a different pattern between the two-piece golf ball and the three-piece golf ball that you buy from Saint nine or Square Golf... the two-piece golf ball has the pattern spaced a lot wider and the three-piece golf ball has the patent space tighter. This is because the two golf balls are made in different factories and so there’s a variance between the actual patterns.. this surprise us as when I receive them I said to Sean the pattern is space too far apart and so we did some digging. I said to Sean I would prefer the tighter space pattern so then I can line the golf balls up and not hit the actual stickers because as soon as I hit the stickers they degrade very quickly. He was going to make a tighter pattern and send me some.. so depending on which batch you got might dictate how far the stickers are apart.
2 questions... 1. Could you play a round on GSPro with the Swingstick? 2. If you had $700 to spend would you buy a Square or a used Skytrak OG? Trying to figure out if I should sell my ST OG to get a Square.
Hey Joe great content as always. Always appreciate all that you do for the SIM world. My question is can you play multiple people on closest to the pin? And does that cost tokens to play like that?
joe, is this a reasonable replacement for the exputt? I will primarily use this as a putter sim in home office. But would like the flexibility to build out a full sim later. I’d rather spend the extra 300 for the square if you think it’s an equal/greater dedicated putting product.
Hey mate you can definitely practice putting with it I have no doubt. It's great for learning and getting better at Pace control with the ball speed and then better at starting the ball on the intended line using the HLA (horizontal launch angle) you also get VLA (vertical launch angle) that is fantastic as well. In terms of comparing it directly to exputt for putting... Exputt is going to give you a bit more as you are going to be able to see your stroke path and also it will give you your face angle at impact which is really good as 83% of your balls start line is influenced by this.. so although the square will be good for practicing the basics I think the exputt is still going to be a better putting device.
@@JLagGOLF awesome. I think I’m going to go with the exputt for the dedicated putting performance. I remember from one of your videos that you spoke about cheap replacement stickers and after search through multiple videos I can’t find where you mentioned it. Do you have a recommendation for those?
Absolutely! Yeah I can see it being fun for families. And you could use it at night or something just to get your golf fix if you don't want to make a lot of noise
It’s a good way to introduce my son to playing golf on a course. He only ever chips and putts.
I found the swing stick to only just be longer than normal. It was a hell of a lot of fun with just the swing stick.
Great review as always, thanks.

Bombing those drives!! Speed training paying off! 💪 🤣
Hahahaha I wish!! Imagine being that fast..
Does the square golf swing stick work with GSPro?

Yeah absolutely! I am really loving this one.. now I have the GS Pro connection figured out it's great.
Belting cheers Joe. R50 review next ? Wow
Thanks mate and yes I'm hoping to have my hands on one soon 🤞🤞
Thanks for the videos.
Cheers mate 👍
Have you tried the unit with any of the other dotted simulator balls? Their balls are so expensive and out of stock..

Do you still have plans to upload a video testing a marked ball matching the pattern on the ball provided?
Absolutely mate stay tuned just refining the pattern with Sean from Rapsoso ball dots 👍👍
Hey Joe
I just ordered a bunch of these for square. Are there isssues with the pattern? Thanks!

Thanks Joe! You are always super thorough!

Square. It putts smoother, has instant feedback after hitting. Big delay after hit on skytrak, and tiny hit area

No closest to the pin is free

The cuboid head shape keep shaft from rotating. It is hard to make draw 😂
Yes lol the MOI is too high 😂
Thanks a lot, yeah the sw feels odd. But this is going to be fun with the children 😊

Your the third reviewer to freak out about how it estimates iron yardage
Pretty accurate with the iron yardages I have to admit 👍👍
Phigolf 2 with E6 on iOS is much better.
Joe, hope you could test the tp5 Pix balls.
I'll definitely do that mate I was actually hitting balls yesterday in GS Pro with them and it didn't seem too far off the mark.
@@JLagGOLF I wonder if the Callaway Chrome soft truvis works also...
When u apply the tape on the club shaft it will read any ball.
