It is really great, but when you connect GSPro with their connector and have no per hole fees it gets a lot better. I have tested it all ways possible i think. It is a little beast!
I just need something to use in my shed for the winter! I’d like to play sim golf for fun. The unit still needs to be set at the side across from me though! I like the lay out and it seems easy to use
Finally!!! I’m in grad school and don’t have high ceilings in my apt… I’ve been waiting for a more accurate “swing trainer” that I can use without spending money at the range. would be interested in seeing how beneficial you find the swing stick
I’ve had mine for a month and love it. Just a net in my garage, so I needed a photo unit vs a radar. Even after buying an iPad that’s dedicated for this, I’m still under $1k for a setup that includes ball and swing data. I found Calloway chrome tour x balls (with trutrak soccer ball pattern) do surprisingly well for detecting spin.
I enjoy your channel. My wife does Totube stuff so I know how much work it is to put out videos. keep up the great work! how does the swingstick compare to the actual hitting of balls?
I think it’s really cool to finally see a budget option for an optical system. The radar systems like the garmin R10 are great but require more space and specific conditions for accurate readings.
Great look at this unit. I have had mine for a few weeks and it’s really amazing. A clear protective cover may be needed to protect a wayward shot from damaging the unit.
I have a mevo + but only use irons because of my limited space from ball to screen. This may be a good replacement so I can use my full bag. Thanks for the review
Hi Gabe, thx for the review. Is there anyway you can give the square a test outdoors, out of direct sunlight? Say at a range or in a shaded outdoor area? I only have enough space to put the Square on a my terrace, which doesn't get direct sunlight and was wondering if the unit would still work under those conditions.
Great video. Would be great to know how accurate the club data is compared to the more expensive units. I was considering a Mini Light but if this is accurate enough I would obviously get this. I need to work on angle of attack etc. so for me it is important. Some people also found a problem chipping under 3 feet. Is club data passed through to GSPRO?

I know it says not to be used outdoors but has anyone tried using it outdoors into a net in the shade out of direct sunlight? Because if it works I'm definitely buying one!
Great review. Would you possibly test balls that you've marked with a Sharpie / permanent marker to see if they work just as well. This would be beneficial if you want to use your own ball.
Another small drawback is that there is no data on swing speed and accordingly on smash factor. So it seems that the device mainly focusses on ball data, although it captures club path, which is great.
