Nick sounds like every other addict explaining their "situation".
And its just as sad as the rest of the addicts as well.....not sad at all on the adult side very sad for the children.
Nick has a right to demand a speedy trial which he's waving. He can't bitch and complain about everything taking so long when he could have his day in court and have it all done by November.

Most people would be crying describing their children's circumstances, Nick talks about them like belongings he's not terribly attached to. Cold, emotionless, defensive, calculating, oblivious, ghoulish.

@notgnar8506 He is not worried about them because they are with Kayla's family and they can see them under their supervision. The kids can be prepped for any hearings to say what will help their parents.

@pigriser Nick did it for a reason. By comparison to Ethan Ralph, he looks sober and normal. We do not know if Nick has quit using. Some people have their doubts. Few addicts can stop on their own, cold turkey and not need some form of treatment be it rehab and AA/NA or just going to AA/NA.

If the family doesn’t comply with whatever conditions the state has set for those children then they will be taken from the family. Those children most certainly have been taken from this man he can double talk his way around it all he wants but he better start getting it into his mind that he needs to do whatever he needs to do to get them back he is not in any position of power none whatsoever the state has control of his children get humble sir your children are in peril.
He’s doing everything he’s required by the state but that doesn’t mean he is drug testing per his bail conditions.

I’m relieved to hear the kids are with family. This POS and his wife have instilled a traumatic memory in these kids they will never forget.
Ralph doesn’t put stock in follicle tests. Good enough for me. I no longer consider them accurate at all.

It’s very obvious Nick believes he can gain some sort of procedural victory and doesn’t want to clue the prosecutor in.
So, he hasn't refused drug testing, because it hasn't been requested, due to his bail being paid in full??
Isn't that a separate deal if Child protection services ask you we need to do a drug test that's not the bail condition that's their conditions he knows this.

Just a note not in anyway defending just setting it straight. They live where Kayla grew up and her family lives. Nick was from Texas, and his parents currently live in FL (as of Nick's last visit to his parents)
To be clear - Nick and wife are accused of child neglect. They were taken by cps in an ongoing dependency case and the first line of “foster” placement is family or close friends willing to take children during the dependency proceedings. It’s temporary in the sense that his kids will be returned to him upon the case closing. I was annoyed by his “lawyer talk” around the simple truth.
You know Nick🎾was such an influential father that his oldest boy has refused to "turn state" and testify against him because child protective services won't allow him to adopt the new name "Tyler Durden" 🥊 which is a 4D Chess ♟ play by Nick.
When you tell the truth, you don't have to worry about getting your story straight. You don't have to worry about screwing yourself and slipping up or saying something incriminating. Nick can't tell the truth because he knows if he does he and Kayla are screwed and may go to jail and not get their kids back. So he's being evasive and slippery which means he's a huge liar and probably always has been. He's a POS.
Yep talking has already bitten them once. Nick claiming to police April was just a friend, Kayla told police she was the hired nanny.
They both broke the first rule of don't talk to cops.

If Nick is compliant doing all the drug testing required to get his kids back then why the hell did he pay $50k for his & Kayla’s bond to avoid being random tested❓ Nick is lying.
An easy explanation? Which also explains why his wife took conditional? Because suddenly 1000s of sektor who hate his guts, whom he's been doxed to, and he thinks, I'll be damned if I'm giving up my right to a firearm.

You just need to pay attention to all the information. Nick and Kayla withdrew permission for the hair follicle test. Because it is detectable for up to months after use and it seems quite obvious someone on such a downward spiral and someone who was literally caught with cocaine in permission would have been using it.
The court won't order hair follicle tests going forward, though. They will order urine tests as their interest is not in establishing past use, which they take as a given, but rather of their use going forward. So Nick is arrogantly able to say he has no positive drug test is because he withdrew permission for the one which would show use, which obviously the court will take into account, but then is able to pass the urine ones.
They took his guns already.
He gets the 50k back when he shows up in court. It is a bond.

It had completely got out of hand. How did he expect it would go? Like every/most addict he thought he got this...The sad thing is that there were several adults in that house. They all let the children down.

I think he's happy to have the kids gone for a while. He can play happy family with April and Kayla and not have any kids to get in the way. They're with family so he figures its all good. What gets me us the lack of any embarrassment or shame. If that were me, I'd go away and never show my face again. He's a sociopath imo
So he is more bothered about himself and HIS case than getting his kids back is what it sounds like whether that was intentional or not. This would not be me.

7:06 Nick plays this game and sure, not hard to guess there are things we don't know about which may be mistakes. However, Nick caused this situation with his audience and switched the standard from innocent till proven guilty to I'll believe it when I see it, due to being disingenuous with the small things over years. As a result now now nobody believes him unless there is clear, documented proof. He's at fault for those problems - not the state, not other commentators on the internet, - just him. This is the problem with dissembling over nonsense and then eventually having finding oneself in a serious case with consequences for his whole family. I hope for his sake that there is a brilliant explanation for everything.

Nick and his double talk. He has said himself that he took the test, but rescinded child welfare's access to the results. He TOOK the test, he is not letting them see the results. It's possible that he's changed his mind, idk. If he is still refusing to release the results. I highly doubt that he has VISITED his children, but possible that he viewed the children somehow. Turn off the sound and watch Nick giving his answers, his body language is the tell to his "truthfulness" or lack of it.
