The day I found out from you that greens can go straight in the freezer was a game changer for me. I sometimes find bags of spinach or kale at the supermarket for 30c (instead of $3) or sometimes I'll receive a massive bunch of fresh silver beet from someone. My advice (which I may have learned from you, but I've also learned the hard way) is to remove the leaves from the stems, cut up the stems and freeze them separately. The leaves crush up really nicely when frozen but the stems don't.
I love that you don’t waste things, but that you freeze odds and ends. I do this all the time!
Love this! Super informative and helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
