This was a fun project! One thing I did differently, was instead of cutting the nubby off the little bauble, I drilled a hole in the bottom of the larger one, just big enough for the nubby to fit snugly. IMO, that gives the connection a little more "real estate" so it's more secure. (I also gave them a little bow on their necks) I absolutely loved doing this one! 🕷😁🕷

I just did the pipe cleaner spider craft on the local Kid Halloween Night, and am still holding a fond feeling for the spiders. This is the perfect solution for me! Thank you!
One thing I wish to mention. Use a torch, flux and solder to connect the legs for the large momma spider. Once you get the basic shape and wrap the legs together with thinner wire, you can then add a bit of flux, gently heat with a torch and put a bit of solder on where all the metal is joined and "Wahla" a very strong joint!
Wondering if you guys could create things for a backyard like a ball pit you know the ones with colorful balls that's outside for a kid between the ages of 6 and 11 wanting to come up with some really cool things to either add to their swingset or something that can keep them occupied in the backyard through the summer

you should do an animatronic killer snowman that would awesome next to the christmas portal..for the big spider you could prolly use a small dowel cut a small hole in the bottom of big ornament then place between both for better structural strength when you hot glue both pieces together for the legs
Well, that was definitely fun! I'd never heard of that before! I'll have to look into spider legends at some point and see about designing spiders for multiple occasions (once I have my own place - I'm currently staying with my grandma, and she doesn't like spiders at all).
I think you should name the babies Tinsel, Jingle, and Pepper and name the Mama Peppermint (Edit, just saw you added two more. They can be called Kris (Kringle) and Ginger 😌)

I bet you could put the wires inside of mesh tubing and it would work nicely. They make it in fuzzy and shiny too.
