The movement is perfect for the clickers! This makes me want to learn more about foam clay and air brushing because those turned out looking so accurate.
I really love how much more recognition The Last of Us is getting..I’ve been a fan since it was released and it makes me really happy to see how much more recognition it’s getting now…
What recognition? Before planning in the 2nd Game, Neil Druckman himself has been working making the show since 2014. The Last Of Us has always had some awesome recognition!
The foam pieces look incredible! 👏 I'd love to see more of the airbrushing process, Meredith seems super cool and knowledgeable. I love the little details like including the slit between the teeth. Awesome work!
The trip to the woods is so funny….it needs to have a “Meanwhile, back at the lab!” when we return to mushroom making 😅 I definitely want to see paint brush tips
Jaimie out here looking like she has been airbrush painting for YEARS. So talented at everything she does! Jay too I guess 😉😉 For real though, this looks SO COOL!! You guys never disappoint. I have been watching you guys for a long while now, and watching your channel keep growing more and more is awesome. ☺
I can't tell if Meredith told or not, but if you want to prevent paint blotches from the airbrush, I suggest that before you let go of the air, you stop the paint flow first. That way there won't be any paint left when you start to spray again. It also prevents clogs. It's a fantastic build by the way!
This rocked. I love the detail you put into the mushrooms, as well as trying to find some real ones to work with! Seeing you both progress and develop your talents is wonderful. I think I'd run if I saw this prop somewhere!
AWESOME!!! You guys are really ramping up the production values and I am HERE FOR IT! A great makeover and so timely. Keep up the amazing work Jamie and Jay.
Found you guys from Halloween last year and I'm so proud how far you guys have excelled in every craft! I'd be surprised if no one literally hires you guys to make props!
That bit at the end about getting out of ur comfort zone - oddly hit me! I’m currently putting off building a background for a vivarium - i’ve never done it! It’ll be challenging and i don’t wanna mess up. All this to say - ur bit about it always being worth it to try something new, motivated me. Great project!
I would love a piece to use as a reference!! They look very realistic. The fungal "blooms" are called fungal fruiting bodies. Where all the baby fungi spores are.
This guy came out so cool!!!!!! The airbrush job is amazing!!! I’ve had my airbrush for over two years and this was so much better than I could do!!! Y’all make amazing things and it’s so cool how y’all think this up!! When I saw the leaks on insta I did not think night crawler!! It’s crazy!! I would love one of the mushroom head pieces!!! I know exactly we’re to put it!!! Y’all are amazing and stay wicked!!! Stay safe as well!!!!
I have never seen The Last of Us before but seeing “mushroom man”. Let’s just say I am glad I don’t watch horror shows. ( gives me nightmares) Your creations are amazing and cool.👍❤️💜
My 9 year old son is obsessed with your videos. He just made me watch this one and then begged me to comment about possibly being picked to get one of the leftover petals. He asked Santa for the tools to make the wine pouring decoration you made and he got it so we'll be attempting that one soon.
I haven’t seen your guy’s channel yet until today but I love it! Normally I sometimes skip to the end of videos like this but you guys make it so entertaining all the way through! Also you’ve probably already given them out but I’d love those mushroom pedals! They’re beautifully crafted!
Man, ya'll really knocked this one out of the water! Very cool looking and this animatronic (aside from his weird back knees) is reallyy perfect for a clicker! I love watching yall's kind of "wing it" approach to all of these. Always excited to watch a new DIY from ya'll!
The music near the end during the airbrushing made me think of “I wonder what their interpretation of the cut content Cyberpunk vampires would look like?”
It’s great to see more insight into the creation of these type of models. It really feels like you’re the only TH-camrs that really do a deep dive into the creation and I really appreciate it. Looking forward to the next video!! PS: those mushroom airbrush pieces are cool!!!!
I have used an airbrush to paint model cars for years and it still clogs after I spray with it for a while. Paint builds up on the needle and it won't spray anymore. You did a really good job for not really using it before!
You both take things to the next level. I am also re-learning airbrushing and just got my compressor with a tank. Creating a space for it now so I can do painting of my 3D prints when needed. Thank you,
Absolutely badass! Though the pop-up concerns me; the lack of airtime compared to the outta the box NightCrawler means there's a little too much weight on his mech. I can ignore that though, this is creative and scary as hell! Can't wait to see you guys makeover props releasing this year! Maybe makeover Groundskeeper from Morris Costumes into the Scissorman from Clock Tower?
I'm glad I wasn't the only person to notice this. I was thinking it's cause of the modifications they made to the structure but weight actually makes a lot more sense. Esp bc it seemed to move more after they bent the frame. It's a sin bc I feel like that extra movement would have really made it a lot more terrifying. Still it's a stunning piece of art and the fact it's functional at all makes it 1000x better. Tons of patience skill and follow thru I don't have!
YESSS! Foam clay is what I used for making one of my first masks. I wanted as realistic a fox skull as I could make while still having it fit flat to my face, and it made it SO obscenely easy being able to blend out lines so they looked more like a natural fusion of the bone and allowing for the open end of the nose to have the delightfully pockmarked look. I didn’t have access to an airbrush, but one of my favorite parts about that stuff is it ALSO holds onto dry pigments SUPER well!
Please do a long version of the airbrush tutorial!!! I have been trying to figure mine out for the last year, and instantly, I think I've been using too high of a pressure.
Happy accidents as you figure things out. That’s the great thing about creativity. There’s always a solution. Your hole worked out in the end with your add ons. And with the huge blooms? Boom! A new backstory to explain. Worked beautifully.
LONGER VID ON HOW TO AIRBRUSH WOULD BE AMAZING!!! I have an airbrush machine and dont really know how to use it and im sure there’s a lot more people who are in the same situation or would love to get into it! Great video as usual keep up the great work!!
I would love to see an airbrush tutorial with Meredith. I have a similar compressor but always struggle with condensation getting in the airbrush, with the filter and water separator, still happens. Thanks for sharing your awesome work!
I love mushrooms and would love have to one of your foam ones, the air brushing technique created such a realistic look on the sculpted foam. Awesome work!
Love this so much!!! My 5 yr old nephew is obsessed with animatronics- so I definitely had to send this video for him to watch! Loved seeing all the pieces coming together! Such an awesome idea!!! ✌😘
Watching you learn to use your airbrush has encouraged me to dig mine out and try again! Love the mushroom pieces, I'd love to get my hands on your leftover mushroom pieces and make a plant for my witch's greenhouse. Thanks for all the inspiration!
9/10, the ONLY few recommendations I might add is that after the clicker phase is actually inflicted, the clothes are almost non existent, if he had the background of an office building, he'd be put in something a bit more tight and strung up, so if it was tight, the zombie would likely tear it to shreds, most clickers don't even have clothes, but overall, great job, the face bloom is just about perfect, and as for the stance, it goes great with the whole clicky twitch, but the way its on all fours kind of would resemble stalkers more.
I love your dedication to this Chanel and you work soo hard thank you for being here to entertain us and I love how the Mushroom peddle thingys turned out I would love to have one 😊
No but why did I dream of those things only by watching half of the video before going to sleep 😭 This is one of the most detailed animatronics you've ever done! It's awesome!
I saw your swivel pirate video then watched this one. Pirate Clicker, lol. A story for all to enjoy. Sure it's the apocalypse, but a Halloween party helps ease the tension. Sadly an infected person shows up and all the guests end up infected. Pirate clicker, clown clicker, Ghostbusters clicker, astronaut clicker, ...sexy nurse clicker? (Sure, why not lol).
Ok, you guys really outside yourselves on this one. Jamie’s click head is amazing. As good as anything from the show that is being done practical….probably at one/1000th the budget.
Great video, I have been thinking about doing some LOU projects and you helped me decided what direction to go in. You guys rock. Bob Ross reference is a class move girl. I learned how to paint from him 40 years ago, and the man was a master and his art lives strong today. I know him and Peapod are hanging out and chilling, amazed by all the art moving through the world.
This is SO freaking SICKKKK! oh my gosh! you guys KILLED IT! As per usual, but like, DANG! you two are SO talented, I am so inspired by you guys! truly! Been following for a few years now, and I'm so glad you guys started posting a bit more during the year! Incredible job with the air brushing, Jaimie! I just picked one up for the first time like a month ago, and fell in LOVE! Haven't had time to practice too much, but watching this has re inspired me!!!!! Jay, your animatronic skills baffle me. It's so wiyaldddd how you can just break it and remake it. I wish my brain could.... math.... like ever..... The video itself is incredible, too! Love the shots, editing, music, timing, etc. AMAZING!!!
You guys are getting me inspired to make some more halloween stuff! Excellent job, especially on the first airbrush project! You make it look like a piece of cake.
Loved seeing the magic behind the transformation. I learned so much from you two! This is the first time I have seen one of your videos, it won't be the last. Liked and subscribed. THANK YOU! Cheers!
This came out perfect!!!.... I enjoyed watching the process and learned a few things. I've been interesed in airbrush painting but wasn't sure where to start. After watching your video Im definitely inspired to try and I appreciate sharing your experience. I also going to look into Hawg Fly. Thank you again for sharing 🙂
Amazing work, guys! I'm going to pick up some foam clay and try some of these techniques myself. I would love to have one of those extra foam mushroom bits if they aren't already spoken for.
Oh, how cool!!! I'm glad that you showed that an airbrush can be difficult to work with, but not as intimidating as you thought it would be. I have one still in a box. I will have to break it out now.
So, as an amateur mycologist (and biologist by training, but definitely not specifically a mycologist by training) I gotta say your Stage 2 fungus was spot-on. Before you added the super wet foam clay schmears, and used tools and your fingernails for detail (which was 100% for the Last of Us build - this looks Fantastic), it looked as close to unpainted chicken of the woods as I've ever seen. When you next encounter a need for "natural looking mushrooms" (not a circumstance likely for most TH-camrs, but likely for you guys...) you could stop right there and move to paint. Amazing job, and awesome representation of a Clicker.
I’m always amazed on how you two keep coming up with these ideas. This one turns out great and looks like one of them from the show!! Airbrush is something I need to practice more. Great work.
Those mushrooms are incredible!!!! I’d love to see them in person! You guys are amazing at this stuff and your videos helped inspire me and I really want to work in making monsters in movies or theme parks or even haunted houses come to life! I am planning on making a clicker costume soon and this really helps with different methods and I would go crazy to be able to even hold one of those leftover petals for even two seconds
I have such a good idea!!! You guys should make an floating realistic rc alligator that whould be so cool, and amazing for Halloween or to prank people!
This gotta be the best recreation of the last of us I've ever seen !! Crazy mad skills! You are one of the most skilled artist so far I have seen on the internet.
I personally would love to see a longer video with the course you did with Meredith! I think I could learn a lot from it for my own projects, and I really like the way she taught you guys. Such a cool project! It turned out amazing 🤘🏼🥰🤘🏼
I learned straining thru a cheesecloth while adding the paint to the airbrush pot keeps a lot of particulates out and helps prevent clogs. Hope that helps.
You are all awesome, remember that! 🤘💀Thanks for watching! Come join our communities on Discord and Facebook!

The Last of us is the best game and series ever
Thanks for using the video game as your reference and not the crappy tv show. Much appreciated
@@TiggiTheWillful do you really think the tv show is crappy? i thought they did a wonderful job recreating it.
@@TiggiTheWillful Gotta respect the game 100% but I also agree the show is phenomenal.
This is your coolest creature yet! Spirit Halloween should hire you guy's to redesign *ALL* of their monsters.
The movement is perfect for the clickers! This makes me want to learn more about foam clay and air brushing because those turned out looking so accurate.
You should 100% check it out!!
When is the new video coming
Tomorrow morning
Can you make huggy wuggy
Friday
A little tip with the air brush, if you keep the air flowing while not painting, it keeps the paint from drying and preventing clogging
Also tip dry is probably what your experiencing so when it gets “clogged” take a tooth brush and lightly scrub the needle tip
*Good to know!*
I always love your methodology as designers. Watching you break down the project it's so fun. It's what I miss most from theatre making.
Love hearing that. We try to keep it fun even if it’s not the most efficient 😄
@Wicked Makers It's the perfect mix of fun, relationship goals and fabulous crafting. You are one of my absolute favourite channels, always 🥰
@@WickedMakers Can you please make a life size m3gan prop from m3gan that would really make my day, I am huge fan of you guys.
I've been trying to make a clicker mask for a while but I haven't made any thing
@@Iceeman13 I second this!!!
“Let the clay tell me where it wants to go.” Sounds just like “The fires told him who to burn.” Both psychotic and chilling

Awesome. Glad to hear
And the "oh heck what now??" is relatable 😃
Oh, I'm straight up taking notes, lol. I'm not even into horror art, but I love how they repurpose and use things in a new way.
I really love how much more recognition The Last of Us is getting..I’ve been a fan since it was released and it makes me really happy to see how much more recognition it’s getting now…

Honestly, I love the mushropom pieces. You made something organic and complex looking in a simple way and that is true genius
thanks!
The "petals" of this kind of mushroom are referred to as "gills" I believe. Looks amazing!!!
I love Meredith, she's amazing! I worked with her on a film a long time ago. I would love to see a longer video with her!
Meredith is the best!!!
hey uhh you dissapeared 15 years ago-

I'm glad I wasn't the only person to notice this. I was thinking it's cause of the modifications they made to the structure but weight actually makes a lot more sense. This was an awesome re-build. I love the things you do and it inspires me to re-imagine all sorts of things, keep up the great work!!!!
Thank you!
How have i not been watching this channel? It's fantastic!
I love how this came out I’m a fan and I would love a mushroom thingy

I personally would love to see a longer video with the course you did with Meredith!
I think I could learn a lot from it for my own projects, and I really like the way she taught you guys.
Such a cool project! It turned out amazing 🤘🏼🥰🤘🏼
Now THAT was cool! I don't watch the show but had heard of it and seen images. You all are very talented and make a great team.
I learned straining thru a cheesecloth while adding the paint to the airbrush pot keeps a lot of particulates out and helps prevent clogs. Hope that helps.
