Just rewatching this video, and had to laugh when you mentioned the volcanic area in Grindavik that could also be devastating. It really is amazing how quickly things can change in Iceland

Yep, us too. We thought we’d never see humans again, it was so beautifully isolated.

When mankind beats their chest over how important and significant they are to the world, Iceland lets them know in no uncertain terms how utterly *insignificant* we truly are. For me personally, the expanses are very beautiful and awe-inspiring, yet extremely frightening at the same time. I suppose being a city-dweller in the U.S. has a lot to do with that fear. I also felt so lonely as you drove down that deserted highway. I didn't give much thought to Iceland until after subscribing to your channel. Really enjoying it, thank you!

Great road trip! Thank You Valur, Art and Polly for taking us along with you! Really enjoyable. What a lovely surprise to see icebergs at the end! Beautiful Iceland! 🇮🇸 Stay safe! 🙏

Iceland is such a serene place. We were interested in the little side tours off the main road which you could show next time. What is called a “ road” in Iceland is worse than the worst cottage road you’ve ever experienced in Ontario, Canada and we loved the adventure! Also how everyone refers to the natural beauty of Iceland as “the nature” with that calm Icelandic accent. There is a sense of freedom in Iceland that we have not found anywhere else. Miss their drinking water too -it’s the best!

Your country is my paradise in earth. Went twice, once on my own, will maybe return in May to get a glimpse of the active volcano. Keep up the great work 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Road trip to Vik was great! As I recall during our 1979 trip, pavement ended just outside of reykjavik and for the most part or definitely past Eden. Some of the road bridges were out of commission so we went across marked stream crossing. Seemed to have visited every waterfall on South Coast.
    Too much fun!

What a wonderful empty land. As you sat on the road, the silence seemed all encompassing. My mind has been made for me. I must see these miracles with my own eyes. Thank you muchly.

Valur, thanks for showing us the south again. As every other tourist, we stopped in Vik i Myrdal and watched the bay from the church. Good to hear that Iceland is doing better with the virus than any other country.

Totally. All of these Icelandic TH-camrs, including the foreigners who have moved there, have done an excellent job of showing the world this wonderful country and people. I hope your government what an asset you are to Iceland. All of the volcano videos, the videos about the land, videos about the people have so made me want to visit. When I can, I definitely will. Iceland looks like a great place to live - with a great friendly culture. Thank you.

Stunningly beautiful country, but as the old saying goes, "I wouldn't want to live there." It is so much easier to look at the beauty from my 25C degree weather! Kudos to Art as well. I am not a videographer, but I appreciate good work. Art is a real pro. What strikes me most about Iceland, mostly from the volcano videos I have watched, is that the natives are so mellow, unlike much of America. I am now hooked on The Reykjavik Grapevine channel!

Great tour and fantastic views, bluffs, waterfalls and land/ volcano topography unique for Iceland. Thanks for sharing and indeed educational as well.
Need to really have a visit again as landing at airport for many hours years ago, a connection to Denmark, not enough time to really explore. Especially now, with the March '2021 birth of the volcano (unofficial name) "Bob" and expanded family of vents
still active! Wow WHAT activity there!! Cheers!

Watching this in June 2021, it was interesting to hear your comment on the volcanic region near Grindavik. I bet you would never have imagined that one year later it would have become such a large part of your life.
You have such a beautiful country, and I really like the character of the people, particularly the somewhat dark sense of humour. I hope to pay a visit someday soon.

Still, all-all, Iceland 🇮🇸 is the most amazing hidden treasure of the 🌎!
