This series is great. I think I'll do the Laugavegur next time in Iceland. I really appreciate Poppy's effort: even though she's a first timer she is giving her best! You go girl! Lastly I loved Valur's stirring technique
Iceland is for sure the land of contrasts, and contrast is one of my favourite things. Snow and geothermal activity, hot and cold all at once. This is nature's greatest work of art. Thank you for sharing. Still binging your videos.
A wonderful series of videos ... we did some sections of the trail some years ago ... we did not know that they were part of one trail ... haha ... nice to remember the landscapes ... and especially these videos enticed us to support grapevine! heja!!
So missing traveling to this stunning country. Visited this area last trip here and planning on returning next trip to spend more time in the highlands. Thank you for the wonderful videos, keep them coming!!!
Am curious, when you set up the ternts, what was that drink you prepared, with brown-looking substance you mixed with your glasses, and added a little somethin-sumthin from your bottle....?
where is Polly Dog ....been watching the hiking videos on here colours of some of these valleys are amazing black ice, copper iron and sulphur colours too, very bleak clean and colours the wrong way round.
I’d like more info on the green buses at the starting point of the trail. Are they for accomodation at that point?, perhaps facilities for all users??? Is there any way you can show us the interiors and explain their role please?
Mountain Mall is just a small shop offering basic supplies, groceries, snacks and hot soup. Accommodation only on the campsite or mountain huts managed by Ferðafélag Íslands - www.fi.is/en/mountain-huts/all-mountain-huts
Having been there just a week ago I now have a much better overview of the opening shot :) Also most of the snow was gone and there was a lot more people there!
Yes, we did consider and sometimes we actually do 4k, but most of the cases we are filming using phone camera and increasing resolution in that case doesn’t necessarily make quality better.
Thank you am really enjoying this series. Please forgive me but as your English is almost perfect using the word "Abandoned" looks like a wrong translation. "Abandoned" implies the area was previously inhabited, which I don't think is the case in Iceland (apart from the elves). Perhaps you mean uninhabited, remote or wild? All the best.
Hi David, thanks for your suggestion. This series started and got it's name in April when Iceland was at the peak of its COVID-19 outbreak. Due to travel restrictions Reykjavik's streets and Iceland's beauty spots were tourist-free for the first time in years - hence the name 'Abandoned Iceland.' We're aware that very many Icelanders live here as we are among them!
End times are here. People please repent and pray to God for his divine protection and healing. He's the king of kings and Lord of Lords. There's nothing impossible for Him. Put all your trust in Him. He's coming to gather the harvest..

Fantastic! Thanks for putting this together. I'm waiting for the next episode
Wow it looks like they're walking on a different planet. Such beautiful scenery over there.

That glasses' stir and sneaky spirit pull is a power move. Just signed into High Five Club.
Haha, Valur's clearly a pro! Thanks for your support, it really helps us out.
What was in that bottle he added to his coffee/drink? Lol
OMG!!! Totally awesome 👏 👍👍👍
Thank you so much 😀

Kudos to Poppy for being willing to give this a try. Not everyone would be so open minded...👍
Thanks David, it was one hell of a first-time hike. Hopefully the first of many.
Hey! They're playing Kuub! My husband and I love that game (in Washington State USA)! Really fun yard game.
Valur, I want to be Poppy and do this hike with you! Maybe there are guides for hire that would do a similar job!
@1:50 what are those guys playing?
It's called kubb, it's a classic summertime game for Icelanders
Love your videos. Ever consider uploading in 4K?

AWESOME!
Tasty tunes Art. Reminds me that there are two Dune movies ready for release.
