My mother's name was Laura. If a woman named Laura gave me life, it would be wonderfully fitting that another Laura kept it going. We spend our entire lives gathering knowledge, honing skills and becoming better people able to give back to society, and then in a second it's all gone, death steals it all away. That's not right. The universe is just beginning to open up to us, there is so much to learn, discover and explore. Ask any old person and they will say"It went by so fast." Life has always been much too short. I never want to miss the next new thing. Thanks Laura.

What an AMAZING woman! She's a hero who decides to pursue even the biggest ambitions, as a fellow life extension supporter, I wish her all the best, and success!

She stopped going to MIT (sophomore in physics, may never return) in order to pursue a two year 100K Thiel Fellowship. Laura's research led to her extending the lives of some worms by 10 times. Laura wants to extend the human lifespan by a few more centuries at least.

One, the most important question, is missing: why? Why humans should create a technology which will permit them to simulate real life, when that REAL LIFE is already here?!
I wouldn't want to live in a world which is described in this video. I hope the man will understand that it is pointless to pursuit immortality and that we should simply learn to comprehend and accept with complete serenity our imminent death rather than try to fight it.

      *****
I am talking about the humanity as a whole, it is obvious that I - personally - can not accept all sort of things, including this one.
Do you really believe that to die naturally and killing yourself are the same think? I don't think so.
And yes, this my speculation IS applied to medicine also. If it is only used to alleviate pain and physical suffering than it is useful.
      P.S.
Do you think when this technology will be available, everyone could benefit from it?

Just wondering what particular line of research is she using to figure out the secrets to longevity is she doing it on a molecular level trying to find what slows when we hit a certain age when we get their i thought all this was already discovered

Lord of the Rings - Frodo in Reality Life ( Laura is New Zealander ). Thiel Fellowship is like Fellowship of Ring - part 1 and Mr. Aubrey is like Galdalf. That's a amazing. Journey of Ring beginned 27-8= 19 years when Laura is 8 years old. Good luck to Little Girl.

Hi Long, it's lucky to see a Vietnamese in the longevity sector. I have been researching this field for a while. It would be great if we could connect on another platform. Please ping my email if you're interested: v.nhtnam@gmail.com | And excuse me for not putting the phone number here due to privacy risks. Looking forward to connect with you!

The fix to this is to make a rule that you can't have kids and be immortal at the same time.

yeah you'd have to, in order to keep things in balance until you could figure out how to keep a sustainable population growth. By sustainable, I mean, growth that is at a rate commensurate with the ability for the underlying means of production required to sustain their existence to expand.
Tl;dr we'd have to leverage the longevity of human life, to live on other planets.

While she's at it let's go for figuring out a neat way of establishing fair means of implementing involuntary Euthanasia across the planet.

Perhaps by law you are forced to become sterile? i wouldnt mind beeing sterile in exchange for longevity (and or perhaps save some of my dna for future marriage/pay licesne for kids?)
