Don't talk your reactions down. Non-musical folks absolutely have valid opinions. I am a musician and I enjoy channels like yours specifically for learning about what lands with different audiences

"I dont want to pick no more, I'm tired of fighting, I'm tired of it!" Said every TOOL fan at least once! That's what happens when your entire catalog is a masterpiece.

This is the album where tool really found what they are about. And I think Justin played a key part in that process.

Great video. One thing I just have to say as a bass player that loves playing tool songs. Sometimes when you are giving props to Adam it's actually Justin playing up on the high notes. I like to call him the "lead" bass player because he isn't just in the back laying down rhythm. He brings bright notes and an unbelievable bass tone that leads the music at times.

    H. is a masterpiece and integral to the Tool lexicon although it isn't a staple in their live shows, Jimmy is another magnificent Tool track that gets overlooked, even by Tool fans, it's integral to the Judith/10,000 Days story arc

Ya gotta do Jimmy… (Maynard’s real name-what his family calls him) -it’s a song Maynard wrote to his 11 year old self. (He was 11 when his mom suffered the embolism that rendered her disabled) … Ya gotta read the words as you’re listening to it. Maynard is a musical psychologist. It’s cathartic.

Tool never disappoints. Tool never gets old. So many masterpieces that it's not even funny. Their music is so far ahead of anyone else, it's not even fair. Brilliance at it's finest.

I'm a classically trained musician who went to school for music and got a degree in it. I absolutely love hearing your opinion on these tracks (and some other reactors as well). To me, it's really interesting to hear the perspective of a non-musician and can even be quite insightful sometimes. We learn from each other 🙏

It’s fun watching this live in concert, when he screams “I don’t mind” you can hear the whole audience singing it with him. Very powerful

It actually was written for Maynards son

i believe that H. is about his son. His son's birth is forcing him to look at a literal part of himself and he's being confronted with his closed heart. his child seems to provoke this need for him to be a better person, to not be fearful anymore, and that the love he feels from his son connects them on almost a spiritual level and that his son's love is "considerately killing" his ego.

Tool is so esoteric about the meanings of their lyrics and such, it's always understandable when someone thinks this song is about heroin, especially if it's their first time hearing it.

Dude... H has been one of my favorite songs for 25 years ❤ When I was a kid I heard a bootleg concert album where he introduced the song. He said "have you ever seen those cartoons where the character has to make a decision, and he has an angel pop up on one shoulder and a devil on the other. The angel's gonna try and get him to do what's good for him and the devil's going to try to get him to do what's bad. In life it's not like that, a lot of times is just friends offering you advice, trying to get you to do what's best for you but not really knowing what's best. It's up to you. you have to make your decision... this song's called H"

I want to be there when Polo sees Tool live. Having seen them 10 times I'm not sure his heart could handle it. 😂 When you are in an arena and Everyone knows the songs by heart it is an Epic experience!

Polo, just imagine being 14 years old and growing up on this album. This album forged my developing neurological pathways and changed my being. I am forever different now, thankyou Tool. This has always been one of my favorite songs

Honestly bro, I found your channel from one of your very first Tool reactions, and I am glad I did. I subscribed after binge watching several. The variety of tunes you check out, and the energy in which you deliver your thoughts are all contagious. I wish you nothing but the best my man.

Tool’s music is so dialed in, it’s like a hand made, finely crafted Ferrari. Every live performance is spiritual and a journey. Absolutely epic.
