    This is actually surprisingly great. Not surprising for Nick Wright, but it just seems like there's so much superficial NBA news and tabloids out there now. This is indepth, and I would recommend to any NBA fan that wants more context than just the current generation and expands nicely on each player and their history. Real great stuff, Nick, serisouly. I hope more people tune in.

    Melo has 0 first all nba teams, Jokic has 2 (might be 3 this year)
    Melo reached WFC only once , so did Jokic
    Melo has 3 playoff series wins, Jokic has 4
    Melo has never been the best player in his position, Jokic has
    Melo never won MVP , Jokic 1 (might take second this year)
    Melo is like 10 years older
    PLAYOFFS: Carmelo Anthony has averaged 23.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists , 41.4FG% 3p32.4%
    Nikola Jokic has averaged 25.9 points, 11.3 rebounds and 6.4 assists, 51.2FG% 3p40.6%

    Jokic has surpassed Melo in my opinion. And I have full respect for 9th all time scoring

      You can’t compare Melo not making first team as a Wing to Jokic as a Center. Name five great current centers. Now name 15 great wing players.
      Melo and Jokic have different playing styles so to compare stats straight up is also silly.

    I’m glad you gave Bernard King his flowers. King was a walking bucket in the low post and as stated pre-injury, he carried the Knicks not only during that playoff run. I can vividly recall the excitement in NYC as King was going for 40 points every playoff game. Every time he touch the ball he was scoring or getting fouled and hearing Clyde on the play by play, made it must watch tv. We thought that was our year to get past the Celtics but going into game 7 and the Celtics mystique of never losing a game seven at that time was too much for the Knicks. As a Knick fan, I cannot believe he was traded to the Washington Bullets AND his jersey has not been retired. The Knicks need to make this happen!!

Looking forward to seeing how it turned out, although I have a good idea how the end of the list is going to go.

      Reggie was the second best SG in the league from 93-98. One of the best clutch shooters ever. Like Larry Bird once said of him, anybody can make it when it's tied. Reggie was one of the few who'd make the shot down 1. He was deserving of the clout then and now.

    • @TheGreatWesternTrendkill
      @TheGreatWesternTrendkill 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Raymond Sims what do you think about this?: "miller had some solid playoff runs. a 50 40 90 threat many seasons. stats even better in the playoffs (same efficieny, more volume). we are looking at a 22-28 point scorer in the playoffs on stellar efficiency including deep playoff runs soo... top50 IMO. lets see if iverson is in this top 50 cause that's always the noob test. miller has much better playoff resume, stats, advanced stats (elite win shares, offensive & defensive rating). miller played great into his late thirties. matter of fact remained his offensive to defensive rating gap of a very impressive 12 throughout most of his career, not slipping under 0 even once. iverson has a career -1 difference lol, lebron also 12 for reference. miller true shooting .614 (playoffs .601) is amazing. iverson's is .518 (playoffs .489). lebron's is .588 and we know how efficient lebron is. just goes to show" I posted that comment but I see we have miller discussions going on already so might as well chime in here. have a solid day guys

    Gotta defend my guy Reggie Miller. His numbers don't seem eye popping but his impact in games was undeniable. First of all he didn't score alot early on and later in his career he took on more of a leadership role and a secondary scorer so that's where the overall scoring average comes down because prime Reggie was more of a 23 to 24 a game scorer. Also his teams were always constructed to where multiple players scored, not just one or two guys.. People think he wasn't a good defender but because he constantly was moving and running around the court he tired out whoever was defending him and in the 4th quarter that mattered also, and with the game on the line he got better. He always rose to the occasion. There is a reason that Michael Jordan (which many proclaims to be the best player ever) considers those pacer teams his hardest match ups and unlike some of the players mentioned he had post season success. I don't have a problem with him being left off the list but to dismiss him completely like he was a bum is simply not right.

    • @omieg89
      @omieg89 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure about you but I decide if a player is better than another by asking these questions:
      How much team success and individual accolades did you have as the best player on a team?
      The reason I ask that question is because to me, it is far more impressive that Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, Clyde Drexler led their teams to the finals than it is that Scottie Pippen won 6 championships as the number 2 option or James Worthy winning championships as the 3rd option. But I would give a guy like Dirk the nod over Malone, Barkley, Drexler.

      @@DFJW45 but that’s my point. When he was easily the most dominant player then he should have overpowered teams of that era to at least 2 more titles in his prime. They say Wilt could bench press more than Shaq and that he was a track and field high jump champion. So he was like an athlete of today playing against far less athletic players. And he still couldn’t make it count towards winning. It wasn’t until he accepted a Bill Russell type of role that he won another championship and frankly he wasn’t as good at that role as Bill Russell was.

      @@omieg89 No I totally agree. I think he’s like James Harden in the way that he’s a phenomenal player, his stats show how great he is, but his way of playing just didn’t translate into winning as often as we would have liked it too.
      But in a vacuum if I were to be asked who is the best basketball player I couldn’t realistically name more than 3 guys above Wilt. He simply did whatever he wanted to, whenever he wanted to, to whomever he wanted to. If it was scoring 50 PPG, leading the league in APG, playing every minute of every game, scoring 100, getting a quadruple double, it didn’t matter.

    9:29 they lost to pacers, not Lebron. Also the idea the Knicks traded all these assets is laughable. The only two players in the trade that mattered were Galo and Felton. Galo was ok, and they got Felton back in free agency like a year later.

      The point is that they did trade some assets and all Melo had to do was wait for the end of the season and the Knicks get to keep the players and more importantly, the first round pick.
