I'd love to see yourself and Gabriel Merino (aka - Motivated Painters) collaborate on a painting video someday. I think you guys would be hysterical together. 😂
supernova is definitely top and bottom heavy at full fan. you back it off a little and find that sweet spot of most fluid and best shape pattern and you will be good to go. i have striped quite a few clear coat jobs with a top and bottom heavy pattern if i dont keep a check on it and really make sure its dialed in
3:57 I spray at full fan, my Turnpike Hakone edition came with an WS aircap which is the same the Lotus edition comes with, I bought the Black Mamba edition and it has an LS aircap The LS aircap is a sharp line, I pattern instead of oval, the WS does a figure 8 at high pressure I recommend putting getting the LS aircap, its more consistent
Beautiful finish there Gunny a really clean nice flat finish off the gun, it's days like this that makes all the hard graft worth while. I don't get all the hype about the Sata's being the best there is, yeah I like my X5500 RP 1.2i and the 1.3CC setup but I use my Iwata WS400 more than my Sata so what does that tell you🤔😁😎John UK
Nice to see you yelling after using this super nice gun. I have a differ question for all my painters over the world. Would you recommend masking foil on the cabin walls vs sticky wallprotector ? Don‘t want to get through the hassle of glueing this stuff to the wall , realizising it loosing paint from time to time entering m paontjobs. Would love to see a brief pro/ contra list. Cheers guys
I couldn’t help but wonder… where’s the bonnet & boot? Killer finish anyway🤙🏼 would like to see a more up to date top 10 mini/midi gun episode but I know it’s a lot of editing and time👍🏼
It is top and bottom heavy. You are tilting the gun and making up the difference. I think you have been at so long you do it automatically without thinking. Looks good.
Hi mate. I have a cheap Iwata that I’m using for primer. I’m thinking I’ll use it for my colour but I might get a mid range gun for the clear. What would you suggest. Keeping in mind I’m only spraying 1 car. Cheers.
I agree with you I’ve just gone onto Sata RPS from PPS 2, I didn’t like the RPS for years even tho I admit I’m a Sata fanboy, I thought they were to much messing about with the pop top and one of the first time I used one I had a drip But now I think they have the edge on PPS with the flow rate and the filter especially with water base particles coming through on the PPS My clear definitely lays a bit nicer with the RPS That a great job 👏, finish looks class Way to good for a Mazda 😂👍
I think the biggest problem with Iwata is the lack of support. There are 5 different air caps and as many nozzles (for the same size) available for the series one supernova and you would literally have to buy all those parts and try your own combinations of them to see what they do because no one else has, or if they have they aren't on TH-cam.... I have used a number of sata guns and some are really good and some spray really average, or worse... and they are always very expensive. I sold my 5000 RP because it used too much paint and created too much overspray for what it was doing.

Yes thanks gunny for the supa nova 😅 still my favourite gun. Love the speed and it just gets a flat finish without effort. Hell yea brother 🤘
dont you get a new cup of a given size every time you order a new box of PPS ? thats how it works here.

One thing I got rid of my iwata for was the lack of quality, it was like a cheap gun but it sprayed well
Yeah great to see a raw vid again love it thanks Gunny 😮😮

Can't fit an entire car with parts off the car in one cycle mate.
The w400wb is a very similar gun , a little bit more user friendly if you're looking for new guns to play with 👍
It is top and bottom heavy.
You are tilting the gun and making up the difference.

What PSI or Bar are you running? Guessing 29 PSI / 2 Bar ?
You have become old,oh Australian of German or Scandinavian origin. I have been following you for ten years.
Gunman, do you think this iwata are better than edition 2 or Walcom carbonio? Regards!
Walcom is btr gun
I don't like walcom Iwata series one is better than 2 also
I have them both ws400 (black mamba)for weathever reason i feel more comfortable with carbonio light
@@TheGunmanRAW Any particular reason you don't like Walcom?
Carbonio Light or Evo received improvements compared to the first Carbonio. You need to test them.
Oh no, not another new favorite gun 😂 👌🏼
Today the 3m guy showed me the new 3m version of the rps type cups. You might like those when they come out in a few weeks

I use the 5000 RP for primer, i paint with the Devilbiss DV-1 series, makes a job effortless.
