He’s more than a zone corner, he’s smarter, and a better corner than Revis. Sustainability is one of the major measures of success and Sherman has that over Revis. Revis was great for a short moment but he couldn’t sustain that. Sherman still being elite.

He looked bad his last few years and has more than a couple of plays where he was burnt. Richard is a zone cover and he's doing exactly what's asked of him. He's doing at an high level, and he's battled the Greens, the Jones, the Adams, the Browns and performed well.

Tom Brady was never going to make the kinds of crazy throws that guys like Rogers and Mahomes can make but his approach to the quarterback position is different.
So at the end of the day if you're coaching and you how Sherman on your team why would you not play to his strengths with your defensive scheme?
don't we all, in our jobs, try to get ourselves into the job that best suits our individual strengths?
Like if you had two salesmen, and one was really good at networking to fine clients and the other was really good at cold calling.
Are you really going to want to jeopardize your sales by trying to force yourself to cold call when it's not your strength? If there's other ways that you know you can be a far more successful salesman you are going to do it that way. Vice versa.
Point being, Revis may be making a valid point but it's irrelevant because you are talking about two players who have completely different strengths. It's just that one has the perception that if you don't play the game his way then you are not truly as good.

2. Revis Island > Sherman, but Sherman played well for a longer period over his career.. Revis had 5 great years.
3. Sherman can only play the defense given to him. If his DC isn't telling him to play Cover-1 or Cover-0, he can never show he's on that level. And Sherman had The Legion of Boom's help, Revis didn't.
Revis was always a CB, Sherman was a WR in college. Coming back from an Achilles is tougher than an ACL. QBs have a lower QBR throwing to Sherman (59.7 for his career) to Revis (60.4 except for his last year, where it was 105).
It's all personal opinion. If you prefer a man corner, Revis is your guy. You like zone, Sherman is your guy.
