Revis before the knee injury didnt need any safety help, his side of the field was locked.. they called him revis island for a reason. After he recovered from his injury he was still very good but not the same player..
That’s a crazy what if, if he kept that trajectory for a somewhat healthy career(everyone gets hurt in some way) but dude. Watching him just lock whole areas of the field down was nuts
Prime in 94 and Revis 09 I go back and forth on which was the best year for a CB. Revis in a 3 year stretch was the most consistently dominant CB of all time.

Revis lock down more HALL OF FAMERS then Prime. You can hold receivers in Prime day without getting a flag. Revis is the greatest of all time.

Revis 2009 season was the greatest season a corner ever had in history. He locked down so many elite receivers lol. Ocho, Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith, Randy Moss, Marques Colston, Roddy White, Terrell Owens….most yards he gave up to any of them was 37

Out of all the athletes in different sports, Chad seems like one of the most authentic people there is with zero BS. And someone you’d have a good time hanging out with. Also, one of the best athletes of all time!
Chad Johnson is definitely an NFL Hall of Famer.
He may not of had the accolades like Jerry Rice or Terrell Owens but Ocho Cinco having all around talent as a WR is why the NFL should let him into the hall of fame. Even if it’s second ballet.
Chad Johnson was actually the first WR who accurately kicked field goals during regular season games. He’s also a fantastic soccer player which is why the Bengals let him kick field goals for the team.

I agree, I feel like he should be in the Hall of Fame as well, especially considering some of the wide receivers that are already in the hall of fame.
Chad didn't kick any FGs or XPAs in the regular season. That was just for preseason.
I think Shannon already said he doesn't see Chad in the Hall based on TDs and yards. He's got Michael Irvin's numbers, but Irvin's case was stronger because he helped Dallas win three SBs in a four-year span. 11K yards and 67 TDs are kind of low against Chad's contemporaries who were recently voted in, namely Randy Moss, Isaac Bruce, Marvin Harrison, and TO (and Larry Fitzgerald when his time comes). On the bright side, he has more catches, the same number of Pro Bowls, and similar yards to Calvin Johnson, and Megatron is in. I think the two things that hurt Chad's case are that some voters didn't like him and his TD count is pretty low for HoF standards (90 is the average for HoF WRs; Megatron had 16 more TD catches).
If Eli manning with a career 113-113 as a QB gets into the hall of fame then Chad should definitely get in people are gonna be like oh he won a superbowl against Tom Brady ok and? 😂 like you want a lollipop 🍭 with an answer? That’s all he’s known for so Chad should be fine 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I missed those days and I am a giants fan.
As a Lions fan I watched Prime Revis completely shut down prime Calvin Johnson in either 2009. Only player I've ever seen do that. I still remember we tried Revis on the very first play, a deep shot from Stafford perfectly thrown , dropped right into Calvin arms without breaking stride, a ball he's caught a million times in his career, but just as the ball is touching Calvin's hands, Revis' comes right between his hands and bats the pass away. Unbelievable. Only catch Calvin had that game was a 13 yard slant and Revis tackled him immediately. Prime time was the best to ever do it, but Revis is right up there. Ocho, no lies detected.
Cap Charles Woodson did too.He took one back to the house as well in his Hometown

Not many people remember this because the team he was on at the time was trash, but watch tapes of Stevie Johnson vs Revis (Bills/Jets) matchups. Stevie was one of the very WRs to consistently get separation against DR. Beautiful route running
I remember Stevie Johnson very well. Possession receiver in buffalo who put together a very good stint up there in orchard park, he was a smooth route runner. Wasn't a burner, but he consistently got open on short and intermediate routes.
Watched Revis in the state championship game in high-school put on a epic show and carried his team to victory. He returned a kickoff for a td, blocked a fg & returned it for a td, threw a td pass & rushed for 2 touchdowns including the game winning touchdown all in the same game against a team that only allowed 23 points the whole season including 7 straight shutouts. O and he scored 50 points the very next day in a high-school basketball lol....What a talent

I would probably say Prime and Revis would be equal. Both had different styles. Prime was more smooth and faster whereas Revis was more physical and tougher. Both shut great receivers down. I put Revis on same level and equal to Prime cause Revis shut down some of the greatest receivers that ever play the game in one year. Look at what Revis did to Terrell Owens and Randy Moss arguably one of the top 3 receivers of all time and then Chad was no slouch either and Revis shut him down. Revis was a bad man when it come to covering receivers. Revis and Prime just did it a different way.

Think of it Revis shutdown Calvin Johnson for 13 yards in a game. Calvin arguably is right there with Owens and Moss as greatest receivers ever. Then when you look at Revis shutting down Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, Coltston, Roddy White, Chad Johnson, Terrell Owens, and some other great ones for less than 40 yards. None got over 40 yards. Revis shutdown Hakeem Hicks for about 20 yards who was having a good year. When you can shutdown a Calvin Johnson, Moss and a Owens you got to be a bad man. That is cornerback royalty.
