Revis and Prime are in a league of their own. Baily was great, woodson was great, but you weren't watching enough Jets in those years if you don't understand. Revis literally took out a complete side of the field. Rex would create schemes where he was literally on an "island" as the only man and quarterbacks would still ignore that side of the field. In terms of impact on opposing offenses, even Sanders doesn't beat Revis. Dude was just special.

Both Woodson’s, Prime, Champ Bailey, Ronnie Lott, Kenny Easley(Lott said Easley was better than he ever was), Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, all those guys better DB’s for a way longer period of time than Revis. Revis fell off after 2015. CWood was dominant his whole career even the years he was hurt, the games he played he was dominant. No DB ever has 65+ picks, 20+ sacks, 33 forced fumbles, 18 recoveries, and 13 defensive touchdowns altogether throughout his career. CWood does. Revis can’t dream of having those numbers. Revis was amazing no doubt but best ever is a stretch. Among the best? Absolutely. Top 10 cornerback of all time. But too many other great corners and safeties that did more for a longer period of time. Plus, Revis had Cromartie on the other side in New York. That’s kinda hard to throw against whether you’re Caleb Hanie or Tom Brady

Classic clip of Richard Sherman on the sidelines saying "2-4" after the Seahwaks scored a tuddy on Revis. Revis was not in the game during the Butler interception as well. Patriots chose to play Kyle Arrington late in that game if memory serves me correct. So while Revis played an intricate role for the 2014 Patriots. Comes down to who can do what better. They both cover the best and follow the best and are known as the best of their time. Where Prime pulls away is what 'more' he can do that adds value to the position and team, which is also Intercepting the rare ball that gets thrown to him and returning it for a TD. And for a guy that people didn't want to throw to, he sure did have a lot of Ints(53). Revis was great and a true HOF, but he was no Prime.

Charles Woodson gets the lifetime achievement award for a man who played defensive back in the game of football. Charles Woodson must've changed as many games as anyone. He would take a game away from an opponent and he would also take it back from them, whenever it seemed time to take a chance. I think he claims one of those all-around stats too, with so many picks, sacks and tackles. He had the best career and seemed to set a good example. He was pretty much a perfect player.

      Woodson playing MLB? 🧢
He MIGHT have lined up at LB a time or 3...and obv he lined up in the box some as a Safety, but Charles wasn't built like that. He slowed down in his later years n that's why he made the switch from Corner to Safety. He wasn't even the best Woodson at making that switch. That honor would go to Rod Woodson IMHO. I'm not saying Charles was supbar at Safety...just that Rod made the transition better, and impacted the game more at the Safety position. Also, Neon Deion, Prime Time Sanders is the best corner to ever play the game. I don't want a corner to tackle. I want him to shut down the other team's best WR. Sanders did that better than anyone AND he was a better return man than Charles. I understand you're a Charles fan, but be reasonable. While Charles Woodson is def top 10, maybe top 5, he isn't in the convo for the GOAT Corner.

All the physical traits that made him so fast and excellent in coverage, lent themselves to constant IR if he spent his time tackling. So as far as coverage Corners, no one was ever better.
