Enjoyed all the locks from this view, with no work involved. Glad to see all the travels going smoothly and now getting to the bigger water. Glad to see the kids involved as well. Enjoy

    Love your story
And really like your boat. Comes with dingy too right. I’m looking at 3 boats right now including yours for my great Loop experience

Yes! We have loved our boat. It is also being sold with the Highfield. We’re under contract now but accepting backup offers should the sale fall through in August.

We're enjoying your videos. Watching your trip through the Erie Canal's flight of 5 we realized we were the boat ahead of you on the first lock and to your starboard on the next 4. Swift Trawler 34 named Perpetual Vacation. That was a great day! Such a small world! Safe Travels!

Sad to have learned you're selling your yacht at the end of the loop. Have enjoyed watching, and learning from you. We're on the downhill side of two years to my retirement and starting the loop.

@@onFIREfamily I thought I saw your boat when crossing the bridge tied up at the lock!

Wonderful video, enjoyed it very much. My wife and I did the entire Erie Canal from Buffalo to the Hudson. The worst lock we encountered was the Federal lock at Troy in the Hudson. Really struggled to keep the boat from floating free. How did you like Amsterdam? We walked into an area of the city that was actually a bit scary. There were only two of us on a 35-footer and the locks were pretty hard work but we enjoyed the whole trip. Did you encounter lockmasters who had to drive or bicycle from one lock to the next to keep opening them for you? We found the lockmasters to be generally quite friendly and helpful.

Yes! The federal lock at Troy was a challenge (and not just because it had been a while since we had seen a lock). We had the same observation about Amsterdam. The city park/wall was very nice but the city area seemed to have peaked shortly after the canal was dug. Maybe someday they’ll revitalize that downtown area.

Lockmasters where all super friendly and accommodating. Some had to operate multiple locks or locks and bridges combined.

Enjoy Georgian bay. We like the north channel a bit better.
