Thank you for another interesting and enjoyable video. You were so very wise to go while you are young. I can afford and am free, to go, or do anything I want but when you are old you just dont feel like the bother. I would never have believed this when I was fifty.

This is wonderful insight and so very relevant to so many of our viewers. Thank you for sharing. Don’t sell yourself short though, if you have the desire, you’ll find company out there on the loop! We went down the rivers with a guy well into his 80’s.

Looking forward to all your recap videos! Appreciate your note on how the loop is not a vacation but hard work that is extremely rewarding. We are spending the next year planning our loop and documenting it all on our channel. Love your content and will be studying it moving forward :)

Another great video!! Q: I remember you getting your house Portland ready to rent. What are your recommendations for renting out your house while on The Loop?

We definitely recommend it. We’ve heard many different versions from other loopers. For us, hiring a property manager worked best. We didn’t have to hassle with anything about the house while we were gone. Other people have rented to family or friends or managed it themselves. Just depends on the situation. We didn’t make money but the house was maintained well and in good shape for our return.

We cruised from Sandusky Bay, Ohio up the west side of Lake Huron and back down the east Side (North Channel, Georgian Bay). It was 3 weeks for the 4 of us. I remember for quite awhile after I would be doing something and suddenly have a flashback to somewhere we stopped on the trip and it was just like I was back there. I wonder if you'll have that experience.

That has already started. Sometimes it’s a happy memory I relish and other times it’s a memory where I wish I were back there instead of wherever I am today. The best are when we look back and talk about our memories as a family. This was a priceless year for us.

I know this is delayed and don't know if you're back in Portland yet, but we just had a tornado warning here! First in... 6 years? Something like that.
