    Good to see someone fixing Toyota's sub standard effort on these Cruisers. I imagine you'd part with $100k + for a new for one of these.

      Not quite mate, but depending on how far you go with the rest of the build it could.

    Dam that is tall. Am considering purchasing a lc79 but shortening the chassis 450mm to the lc76 length, have you heard of anyone shortening a Ute wheelbase. Was looking at the 880mm tyres also but not quite sure about the lift. I have some mod ideas that I haven't seen on cruisers that are good I think. If you are interested in hearing them let me know.

    I totally get why 4" lift and 35" tires is awesomely brilliant for hard core weekend offroading as long as you have something else to drive the rest of the time, but for an outback tourer that big lift and tires just seems far more of a hinderance than an advantage.
    Some very nice engineering here though, unfortunately I missed out because I bought mine before this was available, got my conversion from another brand, bought it as a 2" kit, still ended up being 4"lifted when you measure it, I find it pointlessly high for touring purposes, I hope your 2" option is actually a real 2" lift.
    (Of course I've taken advantage of the height I have on some gnarly weekend trips but I bought ghe car primarily for touring, wish it could come back down 2 inches....)

    • @superiorengineering
      @superiorengineering  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We are getting more and more call for Hardcore Tourers that can get all the gear to the hardcore tracks and then drive them, that's the reason we have done these kits mate, it what the market want's now.
      And yeah our 2" and 3" lift the 2" and 3" respectively, we like to be able to deliver what we promise.

    Is this kit available for a 2009 76 Series and do you ship to the UAE? I would love 35's on mine but worry about lateral stability. I currently have a 2" OME suspension and it is horrible in any side wind on the road.

    • @superiorengineering
      @superiorengineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes we can supply a variant of this kit suitable for International buyers, best to email us directly at intsales@superiorengineering.com.au and our international salesperson can assist you with a purchase.
      As for stability, due to installing our Superior Coil Conversion & Track Corrected Diff Housing along with a Heavy Duty Sway Bar we find the stability is significantly improved along with being much more predictable in both on and offroad situations.

    Do you work with dealers where pre rego upgrades be done and included in with a new car finance with Toyota? Is that a thing?

    • @superiorengineering
      @superiorengineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      G'ay Mark
      Most Toyota dealers will gladly arrange an Outback Tourer Kit installation for you and roll the cost into the new car finance.
      Step 1 is to obtain a quote from Superior Engineering for the kit you are looking at having installed & approved
      Step 2 you tke the quote to your dealer and advise you would like for them to arrange this work on your vehicle prior to first registration.
      From there, Toyota will liase with Superior Engineering on the whole process.

  • @RowynDaily
    @RowynDaily 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why in Australia doesn't have their standards in all car modifications in every states and limiting people by saying you can't do this you can't do that? For sure there are more brilliant minds of people out there with very creative craftsmanship but those regulations stopping them to build more awesome rigs. When other countries can build cars hummered to the ground some are lifted like tall as trees fitted with monster tyres.

    • @FJUH
      @FJUH 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Those oppressive, bothersome government regulations you think you don’t have mean that the 79 series (and a bunch of other excellent 4wd’s) can’t be sold in the US. We might have lift restrictions but at least we can have the cars we want.

    • @NigelNaughton
      @NigelNaughton 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FJUH true that! It's a shame we can't get the 70 series here. They probably would not be available there either if it wasn't for the mining usage keeping them viable. I think same in S. Africa. If all of a sudden they were gone what rig would you choose?

    • @shanenorwell8580
      @shanenorwell8580 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nigel Naughton you’re not missing much mate. The 70 series cruisers are the most overrated vehicle on the market. This massively evident in the size of the aftermarket for them, you pretty much need to change everything to make them any good at anything.

    • @NigelNaughton
      @NigelNaughton 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@shanenorwell8580 yeah. That's what I've read and seen. Even the rear alxes are not the same width as the front and have to be modded. I'm totally 100% satisfied with my 80. 😋. Cheers
