Just had a chevy equinox here that the owner has been chasing codes for a long time. Shooting the parts cannon at it , when I opening the hood I noticed so many parts with the Dorman logo on it. at a quick glance I noticed the intake manifold / valve cover / purge valve / maf sensor all said Dorman ! what a mess
Good stuff Oz, also glad you got your shop up and running. I need to take my car to you one of these days.

Sorry to hear you had to move shops again. Seems like you had just gotten the other one fixed up.
Wishing you the best from here on!
ahhhhh the good ol dorman wings flying away with your money yet again
Its hardly ever a gas cap.
More times than not for us its been purge or vent valve. Leaks would be number 3
But that’s the first thing everyone replaced
Dorman is known for not having good electronic parts
So the place you were fighting with the city about worked out after all?
Unfortunately no.
Thank bud
Evap issues a big pita. All different depending on manufacturer
I believe there is a TSB on this. The OEM solenoid is $$$$.
@@HaroRider03088 I do understand why they use aftermarket. The price discrepancy is crazy
@OzMechanics Yes sir, I was sticker shocked myself. The no code thing in the PCM is an oddity.
