    What is the best way to do shipping on Etsy? Is there a way to mail things for less as a business then regular postal prices? Thank you!

      Yes! When someone orders from you on Etsy, you can automaticlly generate a shipping label right from the orders page in your store manager, which charges you commercial shipping rates (about a 30% discount for USPS and 50%+ for UPS).

    Great video - I learned about threadup, and I was wondering about their sexist, no boys allowed thing.
    Your demonstration of taking photos is pretty much about the worst way to take photos. Does that work for you? Better workspace - lighting etc. - and a cell phone on square mode is what I'd recommend.

      I actually have studio lights that I use to film these videos (they were being used to film the footage here, not to take the photos, hence why you can't see them), so yes it works just fine for me. And these days, I rarely sell on sites like Poshmark that require a square frame. I mostly sell on eBay where any photo dimensions are accepted so square shooting isn't needed for me. And I can't speak as to why thredUP chooses not to resell men's clothing, but it's not uncommon for secondhand marketplaces to have niche specialties. Just as there are men's only consignment stores, there are also women's only.

    Thank you so much for informative video! Love your sweater❤
    I'm trying ebay for months now and it seems nobody is seeing my items... I do have pretty good prices compare to similar items and photos with details, measurements, brand names and all as you said. Do you have any tips?

    • @sustainablejungle
      @sustainablejungle  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Yeah, unfortunately figuring out eBay's algorithm is just like figuring out any algorithm... pretty much impossible. But I find it helpful to include as much relevant info in the title as possible, as well as filling out as many fields as possible. My title formula is as follows:
      Condition (only if notable, as in NWT, NWOT, or excellent condition), Brand, Model Name (it really helps if you research and can find this), Item type, Color - Gender, Size
      So an example: NWT Kuhl Kultivatr Overalls, Brown - Women's Small
      Again, this doesn't give 100% of my items visibility, but it seems to work a lot better than more vague titles!

      I've just started reselling for other people as a business. I am trying to figure where else to do this and appreciate the advice. I've had some success with both local pickup and shipping on Facebook marketplace, but I feel I can't sell items for as much there (just seems my lower price items get more traction than the higher ticket items.) But I'm wondering if people just don't buy many clothes on marketplace and if another platform would be better. Thanks so much for the insight as I make this decision

    Have you noticed a decrease in Poshmark sales since the live shows started? I dont participate in lives because its not my style of reselling.

    • @sustainablejungle
      @sustainablejungle  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have not, but to be honest, I haven't had as much need to sell things on Poshmark over the last year or so. Back when I was really using the app to downsize, lives didn't yet exist. It's not my style of reselling either, but I'm unsure of how the Poshmark algorithm has been impacted by that new feature.

    on trend and unique are kind of way different things imo. "On-trend" means extremely popular and you are probably going to see it everywhere. Unique is more special, rare - were you talking about these as two different things? sorry if I misunderstood

    • @sustainablejungle
      @sustainablejungle  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yep I was meaning them as serarate, as in they offer on-trend AND unique stuff alike.

      Vinted blocks people out of nowhere & doesn’t even allow for clarification. A lady said on Reddit they blocked her after trying to sell unused trainers claiming they are counterfeit. She sent them photos of the box & the receipt & they still blocked her. A friend of mine had a similar experience while she just put done Zara items & it was a pain to get her money from previous purchases. I wouldn’t use it.

      Just saying "don't use posh mark" doesn't help anyone at all. If you are not going to give some sort of a reason why not to use it, then why did you post at all?
