And although the stock header is "good," I'd bet you'd find a few HP with a comptech 4-1, not to mention you'd drop ~12 pounds, which is the power/weight equivilent of gaining another HP or two. I suspect a lot of the people who don't find power in the header are either running the stock cat so they still have the same choke point, and/or they are using the more common 4-2-1 headers that aren't optimized for high RPM. Brian Crower cams also make top end power - more gain than any exhaust. I once swapped from a 3" titanium single with stock cams, to the stock exhaust with Brian Crower Stage 2 cams (both setups dyno-tuned by the same tuner on the same dyno), and I gained peak HP with the Brian Crower cams, even after losing the benefit of an exhaust. You will lose low-end power with cams, but on track that doesn't matter.
@@Chilicharger665 I doubt HP needs to be increased, there's multiple spots, where he can't open up the throttle, gotta get more power down to the floor. Not sure if the RE71RS are still the fastest tire in the class
