I have been a police officer for 40 years. too many times I have seen those flag draped coffins and heard TAPS played over a friend. This song brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for writing and singing it.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I too lost my father five years ago do to this job. After 15 years of service I'm thinking of pinning my badge on for the last time. Stay safe out there.
@@mikeroach7704 and Cindee Decker, I'm so sorry for your losses. I thank them for their service and sacrifice, as well as your service Mike Roach. My father's a police officer too, and it scares me with how dangerous this world is for him and us. God bless you both and your families.

My sister was a detective and was killed in the line of duty in September of last year I miss her so much. This song will be played at her memorial service.
I am the daughter of a fallen officer. My Dad was a State Trooper in Louisiana for 30 years. Then on the morning of October 3rd 2017 Dad kissed me and said I'll see you at lunch and lunch never came because a couple hours later my phone rings and my heart was ripped out of my chest. Dad had been killed in the line of duty. No matter what I will always be Daddys little girl. Thank you for this song
The song is definitely a tribute to our family in Blue that have joined the Angels above to watch down over our streets at home and guide their brother and sisters safely thru their duty tour. They made the ultimate sacrifice leaving loved ones behind, but remember you will meet again. Bless your soul.
Thank you so much brother! I was a cop for a decade until one day it cost me almost everything, I’ve spent every second since then crippled and in pain. Every day when I wake a make another payment on the bill for keeping people safe here at home on our streets and yet so many paid an even heavier price. It’s strange everyday I both wish it was finally over and yet also wish I could return to work. I miss my brothers and sisters!! Thank you so much for your wonderful song brother, stay safe and take care!
Stay strong! I'm sure you can continue making a difference in many other ways. And thanks to you and all law enforcement officers who have kept us safe! 🙂
My dream was to become like my line of officers I grew up with and each day goes by but I'm glad that there here trying each day to protect and serve. Thank you Jesus for all the ones that take the risk to do there jobs each day to protect and serve.
Yesterday was 16 years since my daughter was killed in the line. Beaumont Police Officer Lisa Beaulieu is missed so much. Thank you for this beautiful song.
For everyone on here who’s planning on being a dispatcher or a cop or fire fighter or anybody in law enforcement or medical service, I promise you it’s a tough job and and you’ll see and witness things you wish you didn’t, but if you feel as if it’s your call? Take it. Hold on to it make your family, city, community proud. I believe in every single one of you.

I wish i had heard this song a few days before today..... R.I.P. K-9 Deputy jones... Til valhalla my brother well take it from herr
I hate this kinda music, but for this song, I am more than willing to listen whole heartedly to this beautiful piece of art. I could feel the love aswell as the sorrow in this song. This is truly an outstanding piece, both from a musician viewpoint and from a future State Trooper (hopefully atleast) point of view. Thank you for this gift sir, it really moved me. We see you, nobody fights alone, we will hold the line together, as a family nationwide. Stay safe officers, but most importantly stay positive, some of the best moments of your lives are in the future, you can make it there, I know you can, and so do you. Don't give in to your demons, instead, use them as leverage to propel yourself to the best you can be. God bless you all, LEOs, family of LEOs, and anyone else who fights for the greater good of all.
I personally don't really like this kind of music, either, but I gave it a big thumbs up for the beautiful lyrics sung by this talented man. Were you able to become a state trooper? If so, that's wonderful! If not, I'm certain you'll make a difference in many other ways. 🙂
This song is beautiful I'm not a LEO, but I've been around law enf. since I was born and I've heard the fatal shootings of two LEO's on my police radio when I was a kid. I've attended at least ten police funerals and have had two LEO's close to me commit suicide - one recent that I cannot find a way to get over. This song is a nice tribute. When I listen to it, I think of my lost friends and honor them. Thank you for this song, even though it is difficult for me to hear.
This is such a beautiful song. It brought tears to my eyes immediately. My dream is to be a police officer some day. I know that will put my life on the line, but I want to help anyone in any way I can, even if I don’t become a police officer. No matter what, I’ll put my life out there to save anyone. Thank you so much to the police officers, the firefighters, and everyone else.
Miss Webb Believe in you're heart and soul you'll attain your dream. Courage and integrity is something I have a feeling you have. Stay safe sister and give 100 percent dedication to your brother and sister.
This comment is from my wife's you tube. I was a police officer for 19 years. I have been to more of my brothers funerals than I don't care to remember. If was married to a wonderful wife I know that I would not make it through my career.
That truly tells the truth an the story. I'm a firefighter from Maine and have and still do know and work with many great officers. If it Wasn't For The Badge applies for all badges. I am grateful for the song too.
Beautiful song if people would just take one minute to think what the United States would be like with out law enforcement they would have more respect for the officers of law enforcement.
I shudder to think what our country would be without these wonderful heroes! I'm so grateful for every single law enforcement officer who fights to keep crime off our streets and out of our neighborhoods each day. 🚔

Artie, Sir... this is ABSOLUTELY SO SAD and SO BEAUTIFUL at the same time. God Bless You for your Service and Thank You for honoring your Fallen fellow Brothers and Sisters in Blue, Gray and Brown. I am the VERY VERY PROUD Mother of a Fine Police Officer Son, MY WORLD
Thank you to those make the ultimate sacrifice for us to stay safe. They took an oath to run the towards danger while others run for safety. That little piece of metal truly holds the weight of the world that as an everyday citizen we can not even begin to imagine the shear weight.
So heartbreaking to hear these words while at the same time a heartfelt THANK YOU for recognizing these & unfortunately future Law Enforcement Officers who have & will give the ultimate sacrifice. You have done us all proud to be represented by the two of you. I am a medically retired Sheriff's Commander that after 29 years of service I suffered a catastrophic injury that has left me with a terminal condition. I have no regrets. God Bless Our Law Enforcement Officers, Their Families, Loved Ones & Their Law Enforcement Brothers & Sisters.
