Hey brother, I'm an entry level software developer from India planning on moving to Singapore, can you fill me up with information regarding living cost, salary, housing facilities etc? Appreciate the effort you put on making that video. 👍
Hey bro, appreciate it! I think it really depends on what you want to do (which company/industry etc.) but a good place to start looking is glassdoor.sg. Say if you were to join Facebook SG as a software engineer, you can expect a salary of around S$6k/mo, depending on your offer you may also receive a signing bonus and other benefits such as accommodation allowances. Living in general is quite expensive in Singapore as you may be aware, a small studio apartment can cost around $2k/mo (excluding utilities) so you really want your employer to support you if they can. Fortunately, eating out is rather cheap (compared to Australia) in Singapore! Hope this helps and best of luck! 👍
Hi siddharth, I make videos on living costs in Singapore as a foreigner ( th-cam.com/video/ESp7Wt4u9As/w-d-xo.html ) feel free to ask if you have any questions. As Zeta said, living is quite expensive, comparing to Indonesia & I believe India as well. But the salary can offset that cost for most of the foreigner, hence, we choose to work in Singapore :D If you rent a room instead of the whole apartment unit, you can get it at around $700 in most locations or half if you don't mind sharing the room with someone else, however, you will have more limited freedoms (can't cook in the kitchen/can't invite friends/etc depending on the landlord). All the best for your move!
i am a singaporean and i find that jobs in singapore pay too little. Thats why i decided to work on my own as a forex trader.
