Been studying comptia for abit over 12 months now, been a slow painful grind working 40+ hours and trying to study afterwards. Hoping it leads to a job, living in Melbourne myself I hope once I am ready that all this wont be for nothing :')
It really depends from org to org and the use cases, if there are contractors that would be more stringent. Usually BYOD devices are better preferred when most of the apps are SAAS based, I would be very careful if a BYOD device is accessing my on-prem network and services.
hello! nice video. i recently passed my ccna!!. from your experience would you recommend one to do higher studies (masters)from australia. how is the current job market and what about the community there like it is easy to socialize, are the people welcoming. what do you recommend i do after the ccna. should i search for job or go for another certification. i have always be interested in cybersecurity and before doing the ccna i was perparing to get a job in cybersecuity but i realised almost all the jobs required quite a bit of work experience so i did the ccna but the job market for network enginners doesn't seem good in india very low paying and many requiring experince.
Masters in Australia is good from a perspective of PR. You can still do the CCNA and look for Cyber Roles but couple your CCNA with a COMPTIA SEC+ and that would be a huge bonus to help you get your first role.
Hey, you can check the videos on this channel, I have already made a 12 month roadmap. If not check the “How to be a Network Security Engineer in 2025” on the channel as well
It was a inspiring video and lovely to hear you talking about your routine as security professional. Bro I am too working as cybersecurity professional since 2 long years with a very reputed MNC which is also a fortune500 global company. But currently I am looking forward a switch so if your organization has any vacancy for me so please let me know how can I connect with you and share my resume with you. Also note that I am serving notice period currently.

hey buddy! i heard that cybersecurity is stressful job as its a reactive and critical thinking nature and sleepless nights or they might even ask you to work on your days off and youve to be always infront of your monitor. Interest and passion aside, is this true? if yes then how'd you rate the stress level on a scale of 10?
On a scale of 1-10 the stress level would be at a 5 to be honest, as per my previous comment, it depends a lot on the organisation you work for as well
Hi i have a doubt that I'm a cyber security student doing my ug my aim to come to Australia and work so what are the certifications should I need to become a cyber security engineer or a ethical hacker

It’s a tough grind but it’ll be worth it in the end!
Cool.
Well put together.
What are the BYOD policies? Do you take your device? how much and what type of work is allowed from home?

Continue doing the industry recognized certs, getting into Australia without a masters/bachelors from here itself is not very easy at this moment.
Now for the big question.. Do you enjoy your job?
Yes I do :)
