I'm John Fish, and this video is a day in my life as a Harvard Computer Science student. I'm a freshman at Harvard college that makes videos, video essays, and vlogs about my life.

When I'm tired, I use to do homework of physics :v
I’m not smart or anything, but whenever you’re tired math is the easiest homework to complete because it’s just solving questions which makes ur brain even more tired so sleep will come easier

@Suzal Gautam Yes and no ...this might be a dumb answer but this is exactly what i feel as a Computer student...look computer science is something you should take only if u r interested in coding , and hence when you take it up ... you will be spending literally every free minute of you day thinking about it because its just so vast, and as you keep going on it will become even more interesting(atleast to me it does) ...so basically there is no such yes or no answer to your question, you can either just study for exams and just pass out of college (which trust me aint that hard) ...or you can spend your time learning new stuffs and gaining knowledge(which has literally no limit) ...ya just dont cut down on sleep, give your brain enough rest because you can't overclock it lol (excuse me for bad English, was replying from my phone)

Dude is studying at Harvard, made a notebook business, meditates, works out, reads books, learns a language, eats regularly and had enough time to film and edit a TH-cam video and gets 9 hours of sleep.
Me: Gets up at 2pm and eats some takeaway food, takes a nap, does nothing productive all day and then goes to bed at 5am.

It may be hard or complicated being a Harvard student but you make it look fresh, because it is not about the responsibilities but about the optimistic and love for the stuffs we do. Wish you the best and I hope you could accomplish your goals (I see you are already doing btw).

@Suzal Gautam that,I can't really answer it.It all depends on your body.If you have the energy to study after all of that,then you may perform good.But sometimes,when you are tired,you can't focus on studying. So,I'm afraid no?

@Nathan For me, in my country (Singapore) hard work, studying and burning the midnight oil really does pay off in the end.
We have this big exam called PSLE which decides which secondary school we go to. I slacked and ended up in a shit neighbourhood school. Even to this day, I still regret not studying hard enough.

Honestly, I like this guy. He's hard working, motivated and just seems like a really cool guy. I love how he spread out his work throughout the day (instead of doing 4 hour cram session at the end or smth). He uses his time wisely, notice how he said he is planning to read 50 pages, but he didnt set a time for it. It's because he's doing it throughout the day, any chance he gets. He values his time (even published a book!) as well as sleep and exercise, and just gets so happy and passionate when he talks about his studies. That's how you stay mentally healthy, by finding balance. This guy is a genuine role model, new subscriber here!

Linear Algebra isn't too bad to do when you're tired. I finished my class with a B because I skipped the final when I had a 98% in the class and I did all the work and some of the quizzes and tests with a couple beers in me.
Every school year ends I didnt get to pick any of the math lessons. Screw math

For us math science majors it's much easyer to do math than writing, writing takes the sole out of us.

idontknowthiscomment oww that’s actually not true. I’m taking the education route and I’m loving it. Pretty sure this dude is proud of his achievements and happy to be studying at one of the worlds leading university. I fill out my happiness section in my planner at the end of the day, as I like to write what made me happy this day in it. Not everyone that’s choosing to include university in their career is automatically unhappy and stressed out all the time. He seems pretty excited most the time.
I think it depends on what you are going through and how you handle it. Im in school and enjoying it.
It's a challenging & tough time. But if you can make it, the rewards outweigh the effort.
I graduated college, but honestly I did not enjoy it. I mean it was better than high school, but only because I had more freedom. I like being in the "working world" more than I did Academia. I have learned more outside of school than in and the knowledge is actually "functional". Whereas the stuff I learned in school I have not even used. I have complete freedom to pursue what I want, the way I want, when I want. I'm currently transitioning into working for myself actually.

It's not really a nerd-school it's a school where only the most hardworking are admitted. Try MIT instead or U-Chicago. Heck U-Penn as well. Harvard is where the kids with perfect grades go, the hard workers or kids that got in because daddy is important. As for brilliance eh not so likely.

StarWarsftw12 if you are a really smart and intelligent person and get really good grades in highschool, it is likely for you to get a full scholarship to an Ivy League university like Harvard, so he may of gotten in with a scholarship instead of paying to be in there 🤷♂️
