If you wonder what happens during "Researching AI.." episodes, it actually means "eating free food".
See life through the eyes of #AI/ML #Researcher/Research #Engineer. I bet it is very similar at Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, DeepMind and other big companies (that's how you feed youtube search with tags, lol). Obviously, what Researchers/Engineers do most of the time is training PyTorch/TensorFlow models and conducting experiments with them. This one sentence actually contains more info than the whole video.

Well said at the end, the AI research is pushing boundaries and pushing boundaries or even applied AI to solve problems in a different domain is very challenging and takes days and nights out of us. A good advice to all students and aspiring AI professionals (DS) can be that if you are indeed passionate about AI, its applications and its future, only then you should plan out in spending your life doing this field as it requires a lot of passions.

So I counted the hours worked to be around 7.5. This is really helpful for me honestly. I feel a massive pressure to work 10 hours a day of heavy, focussed work but successful AI researchers are out here working less than 8. I've been told to measure progress in output, not in hours, and this looks like evidence for that...
Honestly, I was here just for the food and snacks.

I m from italy, and I like your video,really interessing.
I have a question, i m 24 y old, i started university when i was 19/20 i computer engineering filed(not comp.science).
There was a lot of subject lime electronics,telecomunications ecc where i was not interested, and I also had some financial " problem(and I was also bored about accademic enviroment) so i stopped university and I started to work(in a totale different field, gold production like make jewellery ecc "a manual" job, my city is famous for that ).
Now I m 24 and I want to start back university, maybe with a differenti mindset, is it too late in your opinion?
I also like travellin, i want to discover new country,new people ecc.
If you can give me some tips it ll be really helpful!

brother is great that you share your day, but I think we expect more code than food, 90% of the video is food, food and more food, I wait for another video showing the true day of a programmer, this generates false expectations, which we work on the world of programming we know that it is not like that.
I would love to see actual programming and work related stuff as well, but employers will never allow that
I understand that companies are somewhat strict with their businesses but on the other hand it would not be correct to put as a video cover "the life of a programmer in" x "company", I value the work of this guy but this is far from being the day of a programmer, I got to see people who were more than 18pm and still at work wanting to look happy haha when the reality is that one does not see the hours of running out of the office, getting home and being calm haha, obviously everyone of these videos is approved by the company and they have to make the company well in one way or another. I think we all know that these kinds of videos are pure lies, it confuses jr je
