Doc goes over oil vs. hybrid deck and fence stains and the proper way to use them. How dry should your wood be before you stain? Doc stresses the importance of slow drying and curing when it comes to hybrid deck and fence staining.

This is the reason you have to be careful reading reviews. Some people don't pay attention or use common sense and then blame the product for their screw ups. Great video Doc .

I own a fence staining business, and would be curious to hear your review stain and seal experts as a penetrating oil stain.

Dock, don’t back staining the deck pieces help to keep moisture out of the finish deck and allow the stain on the face to last longer?

I’m always interested in learning and one of the things that I found is the maintenance coat. Maintenance coat on a oil stain is way easier than a maintenance coat on a film stain like a hybrid. I would be curious to hear your thoughts on a hybrid for maintenance as that has been the issue as because it has a film coding when it fails you can look really bad and fixing. It is really hard.

I’d be interested in knowing more about the maintenance as well!

Thank you for the great info! Getting ready to stain a brand new board on board fence, 260 linear feet. Want to do it right and I keep coming back to your videos as they are just the most logical and sensible. May I ask w a cedar fence that’s only going to be 2 months old by the time I stain it, do you recommend I use brighteners or solvents if any kind to clean it first?

Love your project and channel, my Bermuda grass has improved 100%.
Great properties, any plans for tall columns to bulk them up for your new design?
