Staining a Wood Fence with Sprayer

Doc uses the new sprayer which is good for smaller jobs. Staining wood fences really is the only way to properly stain them. He compares the smaller sprayer to the larger Graco.

This sprayer is a must have. Perfect for small jobs. I used for Lattice and it was a REAL time saver. Privacy fences,storage buildings,,any small stain project. Less than 100 bucks yeah well worth it. Tip. It was hot weather so every couple cups of stain I would stop and sray a couple cups of water thru it to keep tip from stopping up. That was aggravating but expected. Still saved time.

I agree, I bought that exact sprayer thinking it would help me with painting interior of thr garage. Absolutely not. It would spray water very well but definitely not paint. I ended up using a real sprayer system instead. I think I will try that sprayer out using the stain on my fence.

Re you a Medical Dr. and if so when do you find time to practice medicine, or are you a doctor of "everything"?? Appreciate all the time you put into products. After a breakin into my house near Atlanta, we installed blink camera's on your recommendation. Never looked back. Been installed over 1 1/2 and haven't changed one battery.----thanks for what you do.

I used that gun to stain my fence the only thing that i noticed is it uses too much product i had to barely touch the trigger to spray less product and make it last

I just watched this and thought it pretty informative but I have a question. Is the over sprey because it uses air? Would using a HVLP air paint sprayer be better?

My back hurt watching you spray top to bottom to top to bottom...
With paint / stain prices so crazy for even mediocre stuff, I use brushes and rollers a lot more.

Not knowing a better way to comment. I've downloaded both the Warm Season and Cool Season calendars (thanks for the work). Warm prints fine, but Cool fails for an unknown reason. Same printer and the printer acted like it was getting data.
