Most depressing "I love you" ever.
What did they thought from a teddy bear?!
So what if he has a voice box? The whole court literally just heard him saying other coherent sentences that aren't programmed, so him pressing his chest proves nothing.
It isn't even the same voice he has. He even ages too since they grew up together but it's more internally. Also I'm surprised the voice box would even still work after 20 years.
Stef Sears bruuuuh people deliberately out here choose to be dumb af
It's not that. It's to prove that just because something says "I love you" doesn't mean it's alive or even capable of loving.
It's just another generic plot hole to keep the movie going. It's not meant to be taken seriously because the audience knows the outcome.
so true
0:39-0:50 I LOVE when Seth MacFarlane sings, whether in character in his shows or movies or just as himself. Especially this brief little number.
Funny think is I've never heard this song before except for Ted and Brian Griffin sing it, thank you Seth!
I don't care what anyone says, this is a great movie.
Oh it absolutely is, but it insults every single minority stereotype while carrying a message of minority sensitivity, and social justice/equality.... It completely hypocrites its own points. Funniest movie ever though
When I went to see this, I didn't have high hopes towards this movie. First one was okay. Some laughs. But this movie is one of the best comedy movies I have ever seen!
I think that's the point, nobody's better than everyone and should be treated as an equal.
it's good... just extremely dated. I can't think of a joke off the top of my head that doesn't have some reference to it.
Yes but it doesn't say what being treated as an equal means since everyone in the movie is either hypocritical, idiotic, or downright depraved.
0:37 The way Ted just stared at Sam for a moment and then just broke down singing 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
OH
VEHR
ROOLED
So... if a voice box was surgically put into my body and it only said a certain set of words... would that make me inhuman? I can still say more than one stupid set of words.
DarkHat Studio the point is he doesnt have a heart idiot
Patrick Lin iron man has this heart protection thing, so does that mean iron man is a piece of property? Hell no. Howard Stark this scene is being a hypocrite he just said right there his son is piece of property
Patrick Lin iron man has this heart protection thing, so does that mean iron man is a piece of property? Hell no. Howard Stark this scene is being a hypocrite he just said right there his son is piece of property
All the heart is an organ that we use to distribute blood through our body. Ted through sheer divine intervention is some how alive. That there Should already redefine scientific study.

I like how that technically Ted and Tami-Lynn aren't married anymore, but Ted still sees her as his wife
That's cute
To be fair if I was married but then suddenly the government came along and said “sorry you’re not a person anymore so you aren’t legally married” I’d be pissed off and refuse to not consider myself married
Some people are like that.
Respect that’s what’s greats about Ted
@@mrcritical6751"you could probably just shrug at them and say "not sorry but I consider your opinion invalid, you can lie that we're not married all you want but it won't change a thing so go off"
And then couldn't do anything about it legally lol all you're doing is talking smack

0:57, did anyone else hear Quagmire's voice?
That's cause seth macfarlane voices him and Ted
Giggity
Giggity.
Oh... I see how this entire scene played out... That's heartbreaking. < : (
IMO, it’s very nonsensical and contrived
Just because he has that feature negates the fact that he can have coherent conversations and function like a person?
@@RB01.10If I had a surgically implanted voice box would that make me not a person? Nope.
The guy was a good actor, but as Wild, the lawyer himself would not be very successful. The scene kind of feels a bit weak because of that error.
I remember this scene making me feel really sad. People become so dehumanized in court cases, especially victims of discrimination and violence.
You thought that made you sad? You should watch Devil's Advocate. It features a man who represented clients, knowing they were guilty, and won every case, with Satan's help.
1:46 explains how Ted beat up John
Imagine if Ted didn’t have the batteries in him that made him speak.
Also, he and John went underwater earlier, wouldn’t that “fry the circuits“?
That's a very good point.
In fact you're also correct for a second reason too: if they shipped out the voice box, or dunked Ted in water with his approval to try and fry his circuits, that would fail to kill him. Then they could try it on a bunch of other Ted toy models and see how those broke when they were dismantled or dunked.
That would also help prove Ted is a person, because he survived it the same way a person would.
Did Seth MacFarlane just take everything from family guy and use it for this movie?
Jesus Christ yes
Jesus Christ
Yeah and made it better
(Kinda funny how I'm replying to a guy with your proname I'm agnostic so I'm entirely open to the idea but I never thought I'd actually reply to a commenter carrying his name)
Jesus Christ This movie actually has a deeper meaning your clearly to young to understand. Family Guy is fine but comparing that to this movie is an insult
Jesus Christbbbbb
Jesus Christ uh, what about this movie is from family guy?
0:39 "What did you think I would do at this moment when you're standing before me with tears in your eyes" Does that answer your question?
Objection. Your honor
@@Jackferrett6781 Overruled!
I love seeing Roger Sterling go from a Mad Man to a Lawyer
Mad Men
I don't understand how can anyone think he's not a person
This movie is accurate to how dumb courts are
Well technically he is not a person but he is still a living being and deserves the rights that everyone have.
Yeah, just because he’s physically a teddy bear doesn’t make him lifeless, if he can talk, move, and do a bunch of stuff on his own then that should legally make him a person.
Ted 2 initially starts with him wanting to have a kid with his wife, but later on discusses the idea of if Ted is considered alive or not because teddy bears are unable to come to life, excluding him. The reason the voice box sullied the argument that Ted is alive is because it implies that Ted isn't in love with his wife because he feels that way, but because he's programmed to say he loves, "proving" he isn't alive.
@@vitominiello6561Yes, I believe when they say "person" they don't specifically mean human being or else Ted would never have had any chance from the start.
Are we ignore the fact that all those people in the court didn't even laugh when they hear the "I love you'
not really, it kinda ‘ruined’ the case for a while
@@stephsvids9812Agreed. Wild's point doesn't exist. He kind of broke his argument by pointing out Ted's implanted voice box.
That judge is hilarious!!
I feel like the counter to this is, "you said 5 phrases. Is that the limit? because I have been conversing with my client for weeks."
2:20 Made me cry!
Just because he can press his chest and a pre recorded voice says I love you doesn’t take away from his sentience especially considering it is a totally different voice lol.
0:39 So funny. Same thing happened on Family Guy with MacFarlane's other character Brian Griffin.
I definitely thought this was better than the original film! Scenes were funnier and everything! I didn't like Lori either, I like John's new girlfriend better because she actually appreciates Ted, unlike Lori, who wanted John to disown him so to speak.
nintendoplaystation5 it's funny cause Lori is played by Mila kunis, who also plays meg from family guy.
I always said shut up meg whenever she talked bull about ted

If I were Ted i would have brought up the fact that i was born from the love and innocense of a child.
“Can a teddy bear write a symphony? Can a teddy bear turn a canvas into a beautiful masterpiece?”
the true hero in this scene is the batteries in his chest.
I can’t with this teddy bear😂
Mr Stark?! But thats impossible. Bucky never misses his mark
LMAO the judge is funny
Over-ruled 😂
So what if he's not a person, he's a fucking Teddy bear that has a life smoking pot
Ted, and I don't think I ought be treated any different
Me I love that fucking bear!!! You go Ted!!!
One of 5 fraises
If he spoke more than 5 fraises he would have proved himself
God gave him a soul from john's wish
“Do what he says, Mr Clubberlang” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ask me. A pre recorded sound that is in his chest does not beat sentence after sentence and all the other bs he was doing. He may be full of fluff but that does not deny the fact he is doing things any other person would do.
That’s exactly part of the reason this film was not well received
I know it’s a comedy, but saying he wasn’t a living thing because of that prerecorded voice box feature despite being shown he can have coherent conversations and function as a living thing was just too nonsensical
Is it weird that the Electronic device still has battery power after 20+ years
It’s for the sake of comedy.
What did you think i would do at this moment when your standing before me with tears in your eyes 😂😂😂
The defensive attorney could’ve been kicked out of court right then and there at 2:00 for approaching Ted without permission from the judge. He would have needed to request to approach the accuser
What it is, man. Dynamite. Always awesome to hear one of Seth's characters sing.
John Slattery only has 5 minutes and he absolutely kills it
"What did you think I would do at this moment when you stand before me with tears in your eyes".
This movie is hilarious & emotional both
How can a movie about a teddy bear make me feel sad for Ted in this moment
I’m surprised that voice box’s batteries haven’t died or he hasn’t gotten it ripped out
He doesn't need them
Or fried because he went under water to hide John’s busted lap top.
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 the judge over ruled I got a ashamed attack
I want a full version of ted singing this song
do u know the name of that song
I can't unhear Peter Griffin and Brian Griffin's voice in Ted. Even if i try not to.
When I first watched Mad Men, I could only see John Slattery as Howard Stark. Now after I’ve finished Mad Men, I can only see John Slattery as Roger Sterling.
Honestly if he would’ve taken the voice box out and smashed it, he probably could’ve won the first time
"See? You could have one implanted too, Mr. Wild. Would that make you no longer a person? Hear how I'm still talking without it?"
MacFarlane should cover "At This Moment" on his next album.
Teddy Bears Lives Matter✊
0:03 Howard Stark🤔🤔
Amanda Seyfried has done a pretty good job as Sam. L Jackson, and I’ve watched both the parts of Ted and both of them are pretty good and I’m waiting for Ted 3.

It’s crazy. I was rewatching Family
Guy for the nostalgia, and Brian Griffin actually sang this when he was on the bachelorette. Also Seth McFarlands voice by the way
literally just watched te same episode and looked up this clip lol
ok , serious question : if a toy like ted, which has some for of AI programming, suddenly exhibits human intelligence and sentience and be as indistinguishable as to human emotions , and ted is manufactured by let's say hasbro, would we treat every Ted incident as human-enough and give that thing human rights, or would we consider that intelligence as something like a glitch or malfunction because they were never meant to be as intelligent and as self-aware as humans and should be treated as malfunctioning property?
Kinda would depend how the court case went down, there would be then something that could really malfunction, and probably require surgery so to speak to determine it, where if it was exactly like Ted, wish made and bomb he’s alive, it would very quickly result in it being declared that he is indeed sentient, even if it’s never exactly known how he became sentient, and yes this comment was a year ago, but a good question like this I felt needed a response, especially relating to this awesome movie
The first movie clarified that Ted wasn't sentient from the outset, but was brought to life by John's wish, so he isn't artificial intelligence. His voice box is a part of his physical body but isn't connected to his personality.
@@AluminumFusion22Exactly. The voice box is only a relic. Ted should have all the basic rights humans have even if he isn't human himself, as he is still enough of a person to warrant it.
Call it malfunctioning property if you want, but most people would question your competence if you did.
Hahahahaha “over ruled!”
Damn You Howard Stark

That "overruled" makes me happy for some reason
"Jury of his peers", none of them are a stuffed bear like him
Ryan Friedman peer refers to class, as in commoners not the aristocracy. Funny comment though.
