Half of the special effects for this film were done in Melbourne Australia where I live. The other half were done by the legendary Tippett Studios. The owner of the Melbourne Animation firm that did the effects said Seth McFarlane was by far the best Director he has ever interacted with. Very respectful of how hard animators work on these effects, knew exactly what he wanted so did not unnecessarily waste their time on giving vague instructions to them and was just a genuinely nice person.
The first time I've seen the Red Baron hot rod is; when I was skimming through the 1985 Video Games news magazine article issue, it showed me the picture of the Red Baron hot rod. It sure did grabbed my attention the most.
Not sure why this film gets criticized so much but you cannot deny that this movie was humorous as well as hilarious. I even still remember the day it first came out with a lot of my friends mentioning it, saying jokes from it, and much more. What a great time this was. So many iconic scenes and legendary moments as well. Especially easter eggs, and references to other movies as well as shows. Not only that but the fact, that they even joke around about other films as well as reference from them. What a great story as well, and introduction to the first movie of Ted. Great characters as well, great storyline and much more. Even the soundtrack was amazing. I've literally had this movie since it first came out on CD as well,but decided to re-watch it 2 days ago as well as yesterday with behind the scenes and bonus. Like people honestly don't understand how much effort alongside work was put into this, especially since its one of Seth's first-ever films made and even he admitted that its way difficult than animation, not going to say what he completely said as that's in the bonus feature but truly amazing. What was even more funny as well as amazing was how he practically got the cast of Family Guy as well as American Dad to be featured in the film as and in order to make the movie TED. He literally has his own cast if he ever wanted to make much more films. Such a legendary, iconic, and amazing film.
Seth is ridiculously talented. He is a top tier song writer. Comedy writer. Voice actor. Writer. Singer. Etc. And If he wanted to - he could easily do a sell out stand up tour. Or a musical. And to top it all off - he’s a cartoonist.
