Although, I would say the older version of Silhouette Studio won't let me connect to my Silhouette so I had to do a trial and error on the different versions of the studio. It took up half of my day but once I have successfully printed and cut my stickers, it was so worth it! Thank you for this tutorial Mel!
Hi Mel, I just wanted to let you know that I found a super easy way to skip making an offset border. So what I found out a while back, when searching on how to make stickers with my cricket. Someone suggested to make a border layer in your drawing app and flatten both the artwork (make a duplicate just in case you make a mistake of course) and merge it. It helps a lot of time if anything.So when you go into your silhouette, you can just trace your artwork. Hopefully this will help, like It did for me
Just a tip. If your registration Mark's arent reading (especially on glossy/holographic) paper try sticking a small piece off masking tape over the registration marks. The reflection affects the sensor when reading the Mark's 😊
Something I have discovered with my silhouette cameo is if you have ink too close to the registration marks, even if it is not inside the registration area, your silhouette will either not register, or worse, register in the wrong place and your cuts will be off. If my sheet is particularly full of stickers I will use a piece of white adhesive paper with a postit note style glue to cover up the part of the drawing that's causing the problem, let the machine register, and then remove the sticky paper (if it's a low stick you won't damage your printout) and then the machine cuts perfectly every time.
for the print/gray line u could disable it in order to place stuff outside of it! i'm not sure if it works for all printers but it should be in print paper settings and you select your printer then the paper setting > letter borderless! i can't remember it exactly from the top of my head but something like that ((: i also use the older version of silhouette studio for this!
I always have trouble deleting that inner line from the offset LOL I’ve spent ages having to zoom in like 1000% and undo cuz it kept deleting the actual sticker! I found it easier to change the line colors and use the line tab for cutting and I just turn off whatever color I chose for the inner line! also I DIDNT KNOW YOU COULD CLOSE THE FLAP WHILE ITS CUTTING LOOOOL
Hi! I also had trouble trying to delete that outline so close to the artwork!! It made my head hurt really and so furstrated! What I did that worked is on the "Send" section, you can click that stubborn outline and just hit the "No Cut" button which would tell the Silhouette that that outline is not to be cut. Hope this helps someone!

I just got a Cricut and I'm disappointed with it, it's cute and works fine but the cutting area is way too small and no way to tweak it.. so I'm thinking of sending it back and take a Silhouette instead! Seems to have so much more customization and you have a lot more control of it, it's perfect for me!
Hi Mel! Thank you for this! I keep having a problem where the top half of of my stickers print perfectly but the bottom half will cut off :( I’ve recalibrated my portrait and now I’ve just been having to move the cut line :( do you know any work around?
Can you also teach us how you make your digital art without the background color on it? Having a hard time editing my art without including the background color in procreate.
You can just turn off the background layer if you want to make images without it. And then export your drawing as a PNG which already has the transparency built in.

I've been making stickers for a while in my small business and I've been having trouble with finding the right lamination for my stickers to make it water proof, may I ask what kind of lamination you use? Also, do you use waterproof matte sticker paper or just regular paper feeling sticker paper? I use online labels water proof matte but the ink isn't sticking too well to the paper.. BTW,. this is a great tutorial, thank you for making this!! Even though, I already know how to use my silhouette its nice to refresh my knowledge and see if I missed anything but this was very well explained, I wish I had it when I started! :P
hi! I actually don't use any lamination, i do hear lots of things about the avery brand though! the waterproof stickers i have are all outsourced from either stickerapp or vinyl disorder :-)

Thanks for the share; not enough portrait tutorials; maybe in the future I might get a cameo but for right now, my portrait 2 works for my needs.
