You got me there on 'mastering' the relaxation part, I was just struggling to increase my Co2 tolerance regardless in the past; I am completely forgetting this essential 'calming the mind' step first. Now I'm concentrating on relaxation and not to feel any contractions on the 2+minutes part. Thank you.
Great! Keep working on a relaxation, high chance that you ended up with at least 3 minutes at some point :-)
The video should have been titled...
"I already did a video about this"
Haha, thx for suggestion
I pretty much just been doing this for fun and because I find it really relaxing. I kind of taught myself by doing some breathing exercises clearing my mind. So far I have gotten to 2 minutes 20 seconds. I have pretty bad asthma but this seems to be helping me.
wtf? 2 minutes and 20 seconds and I am 💀.
Good work
Thank you!
So what are the exercises then? Links?

I have a question: In mostly all the breathing exercises they say: ht. Exhaling for twice as long as inhaling is optimal for the body's oxygen supply. Is this not the optimal way to practice relaxation in your opinion?
4:55 If you're on lunch-break or using data.
Hi there,
I have been swimming for a while (almost 3 years but I didn't practice for last 3 years), and I have been always wanted to learn freediving,
so I started with the exercise you mentioned _3-section breathing_
now it's my fifth day I think.
when I hold my breath for the warm-up I reach to 2 min , the next attempt I reach to 3.30, last day I reached 3.45
I think this is considered a good, and Actually when I see those numbers I feel like I am cheating or something :) ,cause others try hard to reach it.
the way I do it, I start with 3-section breathing (1-min each) -> relaxation breathing -> hold my breath -> recovery , then repeat
---this is dry training---
what do you think is it good, bad, what is it??
For sure 3.45 is a very good result! You probably good on relaxataion and/or CO2 tolerance. Keep training both, breathing techniques (there are more videos on the channel) and breath holds and your results will be even more impresive!
Love cat.
Haha, now we have the second (already featured in of my last video)
Yes i can used it on my spearfishing
Absolutly :-)
Aerobic or anaerobic training for improvement of apnea?
Both :)
Hi, thank you very much for all the videos. The are excellent.
I'd appreciate your comment on my question.
I do mostly CO2 table training. My contractions start around 1,50-2,00 minutes. After the contractions, it become very difficult for me to continue breathholding. I don't know, whether my mammalian dive reflex is kicking in or not.
My target is 4.00-5.00 minutes best time. What would you recommend for me.
Thank you for the feedback! You can try to slightly modify the "no contraction" table. Hold your breath until contractions kick in and 15 seconds plus. The goal is to manage your relaxation for this last 15 seconds. After a few weeks, you can progress to 20 seconds after contraction and so on. But the goal is still to manage relaxation, not overall breath hold time :)
@@KAIZENFREEDIVING So; it’s like “contractions are perfectly normal, just ease our mind, so as to have them a little more later”
which consequently extend our total breath hold time. is that correct ?
Hi I have a goal to freedive down to 20m but I’m getting stuck at 13m I know it’s because I’m freaking out underwater but I’m still stuck any tips to help me would be much appreciated.
Hi! Main advice - dont force your progress. If u freaking at 13 meters, do a step back and for a few sessions dive to 10 meters or even shallow. Progress deper only when you comfortable with previous depth. Also try to find a good instructor in your area, then progress would be much faster. If you couldnt find any, check out this video th-cam.com/video/XwLdqPw4_gQ/w-d-xo.html
But still, dont forget main rule of Freediving - never Freedive alone :)
@@KAIZENFREEDIVING okay thank you so much for the tips
Can I do freediving without knowing how to swim properly? Is it possible with life jackets?

At 3:44 you mention a “No contraction table” video. I can’t find it? What’s the title of the one you’re referencing? Thanks!
Hi! This is a video with a "no contractions" table :-)
@@KAIZENFREEDIVING what it means no contractions table?

Thank you!
At what point in breath holding do you kyll brain cells?
During the breath hold, the brain receives enough oxygen :)
3-5 min after *passing out*. if you stay conscious, there is always enough oxygen in the brain!
Hello Sir, what's the matter, I belong to Pakistan and I watch your video very much and I am also a very good subscriber, just think that I'm a fan of you, make videos about dipping a lot of good videos and I like them very much but I do not know how to speak English in the head, so I want to request you to give me some guide. Sir, I am fond of free driving spare fishing and I want please give me a little guide on what the basics are and how to practice it. I do not have any instructor and there is no structure like a good up in my Pakistan. So please give me some guide on how to do the spare fishing and how to hold the evil. Please reply to my message
Hi! Sorry, I am not a spearfisher, couldn't help :)
Can you send me a good static training table to help me increase my breathhold before contractions?
I’m getting contractions at 1:45mins and only able to hold to 2:15mins.
Hi! In my opinion the best training for beginners is to do no contraction table ;)
th-cam.com/video/vhraa1EX4Ok/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aZM8Zs91yUTGfHpN
Hi, I love your videos. Thx! But the 'no contractions table' is not clear to me. Do you mean breathing exercises until first contraction or urge to breath? Maybe my English is not good enough to understand the term 'no contractions table'.
Hi! "No contraction" table it's when you do your normal relaxation breathing, inhale and start holding your breath. As soon as you have your first contraction (even if it's a small one), stop holding and start breathing.
The goal is to improve your relaxation and increase the time until first urge to breath :)
@@KAIZENFREEDIVING
Hello. I know this is a late response, but do you think it would be ok to do 10 breath holds every day until first contraction? Will this be enough?
He wanna say take ur shit 5:18
Hahaha
Pa support dol
Can't see your information board very well because of the lighting and also can't understand you very well either. Maybe reconsider redoing this video with some of the actual breathing techniques and exercises, so that beginners like me can understand better. I would really like to understand what you're teaching.
Good idea! I might do it this month
does smoking cigar affects our breath hold?
Unlikely on a beginner level, but potentially can be on obstucle if you want to reach your potential!
Ye
Yes
Don't smoke @anthonyasdal8650
Yes
Some professional free divers at VB smoke and have done for years, some stop a month prior to competing but overall it makes it harder
Fast forward to 3 minutes if you want to skip the boring parts
Haha, thank you for the summary
Hah i cant even do 40 seconds
For the beginners, I highly recommend focusing on "no contraction" table

Uggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

"how to hold breath for 3 mins. practice breathing exercise". genius .
You disagree?
He's being sarcastic. I was literally looking for his comment. The instructor that instructs nothing!! Where are the training videos? Valsalva maneuver or something... anything. He's just talking.@@KAIZENFREEDIVING
Waste of time, this shouldn't take 10min
How long should it take? :)

Omg, so much unnecessary talking. I want to shoutn"get to the point" at the screen
Thank you for the feedback! :)
@@KAIZENFREEDIVINGhes a just talking nonsense, my brither kaizen everything you talked about was necessary since beginners are watching must explain a lot.
Don't hold your breath
For something trying to hold their breath youre very inpatient lol
