Super video. One addition for the advanced user would be to split the mower job in 2 or more using multitool in courseplay and that allows for additional forage wagons. It's quite common for one mower to have 2-3 wagons for contracting jobs in real life.
FSG.. I started working through figuring this out last night on my UMRV map. I have watched quite a few other videos and really wished I would have landed on this one from you in the first place. This is absolutely spot-on what I needed. I am running my course play routes with 2x tractors, since the fields are fairly large. I just lacked the knowledge on how to link the auto drive portion to course play and you showed that perfectly. I greatly appreciate the quality and effort you put into your videos.
Fsg would just like to say thank you for bring me back to fs22. Started on the first fs then fell out of love with it. I'm loving playing 22. Thank you for all you do on the channel

Started researching your channel and as usual, you have the answer. Your videos are wonderful. Your instructions are easy to follow. Thank you for making this game even more fun again!

Hi FSG, I watched tons of videos about courseplay and autodrive. You are the best!!! The way you explain it, is absolutely great and encourage people to try it by themselves. All your videos, not only the tutorials, are really georgous. Thanks and keep up your great work! Cheers from Germany MMM
autodrive is probarly one of the greatest mods of FS history, just making a road network and setting tags for unload spots is sooooo much easier then making all kinds of courses. I realy can't wait for the pump's and hoses pack so we can truly do some nice slurry handling with autodrive, instead of slurry tanker then its so dammn easy to make custom tracks. Just making a nice main track on the farm yard, then some spin off's for the load and unload points and all is running smoothly. Its amazing how much of an improvement autodrive + CP made in FS 22 (i didnt even notice it was allready on in 19 unfortunatly)
@@mysterj1 i'm not realy a video making guy, but do you know some software? I could try to make a timelapse. Currently still building up the farm @ hermanns polder, but when i got some cash to start pumps n hoses and sell the slurry tanker then i will try. Would be awsome :)
Need to put this video to my favourites. I really like do all the works by myself but sometimes you need a helper and I don't mean the Giants-helper! 😉 Sorry Giants, but you still have a long way to go... Thanks a lot for this awesome tutorial! 😊👍🏻
Is there a way to get forage harvesting setup with courseplay/autodrive? Like the old days when we could automate the whole process. Chopper on courseplay and trailers following/unloading it via courseplay? Combine auger wagon operation as well. I can't seem to debunk it and I know in FS 19 they had given up on getting it working.
Hi Ryan, 100% there is, I’ve actually done it in my green valley live stream series, as with FS19 it takes a bit of fine tuning on the headlands but once into the field works a treat 😊👍
I'm having a problem I can't figure out. I admit I'm rather new to courseplay and autodrive, but I've got a grass field I've cut using the Krone mower. So the grass is already in swaths. I've followed your video, set my forage wagon and tractor to use the mower course, recorded an autodrive course to unload at my silo. I start it off and it works great until the forage wagon fills up, then autodrive displays an error saying it can't reach Field 4 wait point, which is the wait point I set up in autodrive. So what am I doing wrong? It is a large field, and I set the wait point at the edge of the field, is there a length or size limit of how far away the tractor can be maybe?
It can struggle if the waypoint is far away, there are a few settings to try, there's one called exit field, try the other settings there and see if it kicks in
In case of someone sees this and is looking for a solution: @TheFarmSimGuy is right. Waypoints just are too far. Slightly tweaking the AD settings might be enough for it to find the exit but if not there is couple of other things you could do. I've noticed that on 'very large maps/fields' , you might sometimes need to encircle the field or even set up "escape routes" in the middle of the field for AutoDrive to find a proper route to destination(s). Usually using primary (green or blue) on the outside seem to be enough but a secondary route (yellow & brown) might be needed for 'extremely large field'. Using secondary route limits the damage if you decide to grow crops on that field as they should just count as "AD boosters" to help it find the primary edges - worst case, you get a new tramline if you play with full crop destruction settings and AI sees the secondary route as the only possible escape. On the other hand, that very same tramline could be used as a midfield offload point for Harvesters. Less back and forth traffic. OFC with grass, we do not need to worry about destroying anything so it's much more simpler!
Hi thanks loved this video. I followed all your steps and it worked at first. Then I noticed that I had the wrong course added to the forage wagon. I changed the courseplay course to the swadron course and restarted. But now autodrive says it can’t find its way to the silo. any idea what could have caused this? It seemed to work before and I didn’t touch the autodrive course and only changed the loaded courseplay course. Thanks I appreciate your help and videos a lot!
Hmm when it can’t find a route that usually means there a break in the course somewhere, but you say you’ve not changed it, so that’s strange, maybe do a double check
I still having issues creating reverse courses, where the only option to unload is to back into an area. When my vehicle swings in forward, before it reaches the furthest fwd waypoint, it stops prematurely, and then can't back up. Do you already have a tutorial on reverse courses?
Thanks FSG, these tutorials are really helpful and much appreciated. Looking forward to updates on courseplay given new functionality. Do you know if it is possible to get autodrive to back up and unload into a silo?
Another great video. Thanks FSG! I'm going to give courseplay and autodrive a try. what happens if the tractor runs low on fuel? Will it just stop and wait to be refilled, or can it be programmed to go to a filling station or tank on the farm?
@@TheFarmSimGuy I'm running CoursePlay with no real problems, and although I've installed Autodrive, I haven't yet worked with it yet. However, the key binding for the Xbox controller (on PC) for the Auto-drive menu took over my ability to open the cover on my Bredal F2WS 4000 fertilizer/lime spreader. I can't find a way to change AD's button assignments from the settings menu within AD. Is there a way to change it?
Thx for the great tutorial! Is there a way to automate the cut of a corn field with something like a Claas Jaguar unloading in 2 or 3 trailers? And like, when one trailer is on its way unloading the chaff in a bunker silo, the 2nd and/or 3rd are being filled by the Jaguar, and so everytime the trailer is full and goes unloading in the bunker, another trailer automaticaly takes over? First off love your videos… second I am curious I am having issues with auto-drive. When I setup for my tractor and cart to unload into a semi or my semi to load from a mother bin it will not unload because it thinks it is going to crash into something I think. What setting do I need to change to get this to stop?
Yes I had the same issue with Motherbins, I think it is something to do with the collisions on Motherbins, you could try turning collisions off in the Autodrive settings, but ultimately I gave up on motherbins as it was all a bit too inconsistent and just ended up filling directly into trucks. I have a couple of live streams where I was having the issue th-cam.com/video/FfG_7rztHno/w-d-xo.html
I just tried doing this collecting stones from a field, but when it's full it stays there, saying it needs to be unloaded but it doesn't trigger automatically to leave the field and go to the delivery point...I've to click on AD power button to force it doing that, do I miss something? Can it be because for some reason, the back route from the delivery point to the "wait" point doesn't work? It says it cannot reach the waypoint except from a few nodes of distance, but I checked the whole route and every node is connected. Anyway no problem reaching the delivery point from the field, it just doesn't do it automatically when it's full.
Did you start it with Courseplay or through Autodrive? try loading the couse in couseplay but not turning it on and just clicking the courseplay button in Autodrive
@@TheFarmSimGuy I started it from Autodrive, with the CP button enlighted...or maybe not the very first time now that I think about it...likely I set up the CP work, started it and only later I downloaded and activated Autodrive, maybe that's the problem? I should try from scratch, setting up CP and then start everything from the beginning with AD, since the CP work was already started when I first used AD.
I’d like to automate the process of mowing, baling and delivering the bales of grass around the outside of my fields. Can I create a field for the grass around my field or something?

Well this is a great tutorial video so thanks. I had a problem with mine not showing the CP icon. I went to Github got a fresh copy and put it in the mods directory. Bingo! Not sure what happened to cause the issue but maybe this will help someone else.
I'd love a tutorial to set up a regular grain harvester with an unloader properly. Now that it's built into AutoDrive rather than Courseplay my AI is much more A than I and I can't quite figure out how to fix that

Make sure you have the most up to date version of both mods, there have been a couple of people that have had that issue and that solved it for them 😊👍
Nothing so far Rick, although I do know some people have and it's usually been down to a clash with another scripted mod, so my suggestion would be test AD and CP with very ferw or no other mods installed, if it works OK then, you are half way to solving the issue, then it's just the frustrating task of working out which mod is causing the clash
@@TheFarmSimGuy YES that is what was wrong with it. THANK YOU!!! Been trying to figure out why it would get to a sell point and just sit there for 2 days!!!! It would unload just fine at my silos. Just not any sell points.

Hmm that's odd, I've heard of that happen before, I'm trying to wrack my brains as to what the solution was, have you scrolled through the course types to see if it shows up. I'll try and remember at this end too!
@@TheFarmSimGuy yes, I've tried every conceivable iteration of click combinations but can't seem to get it to show. There's a setting called CP:AIVE but I can't find what that's about either

@@briankleinsasser7693 Ah yes, definitely on something like bale collecting for sure, you could possibly have a main wait point and then a bale collect waypoint as an extension, that's a solution

@@TheFarmSimGuy cheers I’m trying it now
Why does my silage wagon stop before the unload point? I have the unload point way past the trigger.
Do you have collision detection turned on, it may be stopping as there is something too close to it
@@TheFarmSimGuy YES that is what was wrong with it. THANK YOU!!! Been trying to figure out why it would get to a sell point and just sit there for 2 days!!!! It would unload just fine at my silos. Just not any sell points.
FSG want to find out should i get fs19 platinum of fs22? Pros and cons.
For me FS22 is definitely the one to go for, the pefromance improvments are very good, and while there aren't as many mods yet, there are a large enough amount to keep you interested
@@TheFarmSimGuy Thanks for the advice. I do have fs19 base game, was just wondering on what to do or what would be better. Fairly new at the FS games but do enjoy them for a relaxing game session. Price is round about $180 for fs19 platinum and $240 for fs22 base game.
Where do I find courseplay & Autodrive
Hey Marcia, linked in the description 👍
hey there mate do you have a mod name for those big tires for the case.
It’s the version that’s in the ModHub 👍
I've tried to latest release and latest beta of courseplay and I don't get that courseplay icon in my autodrive. What am I missing?
Hmm that's odd, I've heard of that happen before, I'm trying to wrack my brains as to what the solution was, have you scrolled through the course types to see if it shows up. I'll try and remember at this end too!
@@TheFarmSimGuy yes, I've tried every conceivable iteration of click combinations but can't seem to get it to show. There's a setting called CP:AIVE but I can't find what that's about either
@@TheFarmSimGuy It turned out I need 7.0.0.1 not 7. That resolved it
where can one find the pto machine at the silo?
They are part of the map, I've not seen them as an individual mod yet
why would you not just do the whole thing in courseplay? no need for autodrive if you already have courseplay. It was doing the pickup and drop as well as the mowing as far back as Farm Sim 15
Because a Autodrive does the hauling
part much better than courseplay in my opinion, and I’ve done a lot with both
Hi FSG, Big fan. May i know name of this map? Thanks
Hi, it's green river from DJ Modding 👍
Can you show a tutorial on using a bailer after harvest with combine ?
Great vid
Thanks Scott 👍
hello mr....w ehave no mod for this in modhub....no coursplay no autodrive why not???
Because they haven’t submitted them to mod hub
It works a little better if the waypoint is inside the field boundry
That can also cause you issues with collisions if you are running machines in the field though 👍
@@TheFarmSimGuy it's mostly the bale collector with AD, I move the waypoint inside and when he's done I move it back out
@@briankleinsasser7693 Ah yes, definitely on something like bale collecting for sure, you could possibly have a main wait point and then a bale collect waypoint as an extension, that's a solution
New video from FSG???? Wish I could add a Special notification sound just so I know when one of your vids come out
Haha yeah it's been a bit quiet except Wyoming recently, thought i'd better get my finger out with some new content
@@TheFarmSimGuy No problem, I’m sure you have little time on your hands. Love those videos though!!!
After updating to 1.4.1,all of the mods scripts have issues, like open hud in courseplay, I hope they fix it soon
The majority of issues with scripts were resolved after 1.4.1 but there may be a couple of mods to update or ones that still clash
Ok thanks👍 anyway I think I found what caused the issue. after removing 3D person mod and FS22 files in documents, everything seems working fine for me.
@@Danny_Don1 thats great to hear, excellent!

No Brian, just PC
