      Actually our hair can look synthetique that depends on the climate and genetic (some of our weather can be hot dry and dusty, causing the sythetic effect). its more east African hair. A pure non mixed black hair is lot more curly. x10, x20 more. Good Job!

    I'm glad you're doing this I've been saying well me and my friends have been saying for years that there's not a lot of representation for Black people's hair in a lot of video games especially Asian video games I think that's from a lack of effort and research by the industries and back in the day a lack of caring. Now I see people putting in the effort and putting it in games to make it more accurate not just afros because I feel like that's a stereotype hairstyle. I love the customization in "The finals" the hair looks real and accurate.

    Hey, by the way, can you make hair braid tutorial as well? I used dynamic curves to create FX braid then convert the PFX to curves and in Xgen Utilities converted it to guides to generate the hair. I gave it enough amount of CVs but wasn't quite satisfied with the result. I am just stuck with a project. There is a plugin (groomer's tool) but don't want to buy it for just one project. I know a lot of ppl struggling with that and not many tutorials on youtube. So this might be a chance for you to show us something. I want to say thank you for this tutorial super helpful

    When you create the hair on the head model, do you export that as its own object and then attach the head to a body? Or do you just export the hair by itself and then just place it on your character?

    • @isaacolander8291
      @isaacolander8291  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends, where are you exporting too?

    • @isaacolander8291
      @isaacolander8291  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As you see in the tutorial, the hair is never attached to the headmodel. I created a scalp geo, which can then be added to a full character in maya for instance, with the hair info attached to the scalp.
      Otherwise, you can export the groom to for example unreal engine

    • @isaacolander8291

      Select your scalp geo before you do those functions. Also, reapply the Lambert material on the scalp. If that does not work, make sure that you have set the project folder before you made the xGen, and that you are working in the set project.
