I love this stuff, especially because it's dry by the time I get the piece off the lathe. I can get it so shiny some people ask if it's plastic! It's worth every penny, a must have.

Great video explaining the proper use and properties of the polish. I have this polish as well as the microcrystal wax bowl finish. Both are great products. Bought a bottle of each a couple years ago, and it goes a long way. I make pens so this stuff lasts a long time as you don't need to use very much.

Thanks for another great How To video. I've been using the Doctors Microcrystalline wax finish for a while now and really like it. Maybe at the end of your videos you could put a side by side shot of before and after. Pretty little bowl. Thanks Mike.

Great vid, but could you use a lacquer aerosol spray just for a protective coat after the desired amount of friction polish was applied????

When you spoke about the closer to center moving slower , the dead center is not moving at all , would a person need a dedicated sanding/polishing system to get a good high build friction polish on the inside ?

Spending more time polishing the center overcomes the difference in rotation rate. The heat generated can move through the center. It will just take a little longer.

Just stumbled upon this video after years. Do you know what the dust collection adapter that is behind your lathe. I'm not sure what to call it but it looks handy!

I get more questions about the air handling system than the video. It was put together from parts found at Woodcraft.

You should never never reach across a spinning lathe for any reason. Your jacket was too close to the spinning item. Other than that I will get some of your polish and give it a try, thank you for sharing.
