I would recognize that voice anywhere! Great video! In case someone stumbles on this video looking for specific numbers: - Saint Augustine, aim for 4/4.5". You can get away with 3.5" if your sprinkler heads aren't clearing at the taller heights. At 3" I tend to start getting browning. - Zoysia and Bermuda tend to look better short, I aim for 2.5" there. If you mow at 3.5 or 4" it might not even look like you did anything. - Bahia is another that looks great at 2.5".
I cut my tall fescue at 3 1/4 - 4 inches here in northern indiana... With months of rain its a chore to keep up on and would love the ventrac on hills.. 60 inch toro just slides out of control! But I dont mind mowing often when we dry out the height will keep it green! Pete is the man for sure.. Very good you tuber and his lawn is a masterpiece!
Bermuda likes to be 2” or lower. Not sure why he said 3.5 inches. I cut all my Bermuda customers at 2 and it looks like a carpet. I cut my Bermuda yard at 1.5 inches as it looks even better, but I have to use my Honda mulching mower on it.
Pete is definitely the man and the most humble dude I’ve probably ever met. Proud to call him my friend.

Gwinnett Lawns he was referring to cool season turf, which is what he eats and breathes. Great guy and I encourage anyone to check out his channel.
Here in Ohio with the hot dry Summers, our lawn is DEAD BROWN if we'd cut it that short! 3 1/2" to 4" keeps it sort of green
😂🤫
Hello GCI turf!
It’s BACCCKKKKKKK!!!!!
Pete, do you recommend this height for Centipede also? The info always says between 1.5 and 2.5. I always like a higher cut myself.
How much does a ventrac tipicly cost?
Patrick Carlson like a bazillion dollars. They have nutty ass pricing.
@@tomhardware2254 It's not your fault. You saw a steep slope and threw yourself down it.
They are about 25 grand just for the tractor. Attachments are mostly some where around 4-5 grand
