    When we are kids we are hyperactive in our bodies and our brains and then we get older and the hyperactivity is mainly in our brains😢😢 with ADHD

    Currently watching your video after finishing your last one - thank you so much for sharing your journey and making these videos! It’s been such a difficult journey to navigate through and it’s easy to feel alone in all this… so your videos have been giving me so much insight and hope. It’s been especially helpful to hear your experience taking these meds. Thank you so much.

    I started with 10mg Adderall XR for 1 week then got bumped up to 30mg Adderall XR by my doctor.
    I don’t really feel any side effects nor much “stimulant feeling” from it.
    I feel relaxed and even my blood pressure is a bit lower than usual strangely enough.
    I can focus and get things done if I want to, but I definitely don’t feel like a robot.

    I have friends with OCD and ADHD. It's an interesting combination. I do not have OCD. So my organization skills always lack. I know that it can be hard for people that have OCD and ADHD cuz I can create a lot of anxiety because it doesn't bother you when things are certain ways. And you might not be able to block that out. I can totally block things out. I believe my daughter probably has both. I have some twice exceptional kids who are gifted with ADHD. But they also have not been diagnosed for ADHD. We have used some diet changes/ elimination to help with behavior issues they were having. Both ADHD and OCD run in our families.

    I'm prescribed 20mg XR. I metabolize the doses within 2 hours. I wonder if I should add an IR dose in bewteeen?

    It’s so crazy to hear this because I was prescribed 40 mg but have been hesitant to have the whole 20 mg at once but noticed it’s so helpful to take a little more but I still shy away from it (since I hear 40MG) is the most you can take but after 2 hours of the 20 mg I noticed I’ll take a little more (feeling guilty) but notice I finally feel it like when I first took adderall. And worry about building that tolerance. I’ve been on adderall for 2 years and still struggle with feeling like I need it even thought I do, it’s a struggle but this video helps me

    People don’t realize how important the manufacturer is… there are brands with horrible reputations on the shelves, that will literally make you sick, and another brand will work very well. So that matters, and I feel for the people who got a bad batch their first dose, and were put off from a drug that could benefit them 😔

      @user-zv2qq7od3v honestly they can be different for you. I write down the manufacturer and make notes. If I notice one doesn't work the same or one's better I let my Dr know and she can request the manufacturer on the script.

    • @greg9069
      @greg9069 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@EnjoyingLifesJourney I didn’t know the doctor can write the specific manufacturer ^^ but if I can’t get my reliable generic Ritalin (solco) my doc will put in a very short script like 3 days worth and I’ll try different generics each time I fill it til I find one that works…. But 🤞 it seems like the shortage is getting better every month. I went 6 whole months without my solco 20mg ritalins, and I was amazed that name brand concerta 50mg didn’t even work as well for me as my preferred generic.

    I just got medication and I start taking it tomorrow and I’m nervous but I’m extremely inattentive type with a dash of hyperactive. It affects not only my home or work but my hobbies where I can’t stay focused even doing something I enjoy which just drives me crazy

    Thank you for sharing your experience. I recently increased to 20mg IR adderall twice a day from 15mg twice a day. I want to start working out but I’m afraid for my heartrate to increase too much. What time in the day have you included your workout. Do you measure your heart rate?

    • @EnjoyingLifesJourney
      @EnjoyingLifesJourney  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi we work out after my Husband gets home from work so around 4pm, a few days a week. By that time my heart rate is not noticeably higher. I do not monitor my heart rate. My Dr does check my blood pressure once a month.

    Xr isn’t x amount now and x amount in 4 hours like most say. Most doctors are unclear on how the medicine works in the intestinal track. That goes for other people of course too. I believe it depends on your body that day and how your stomach and intestines work. It can be different day to day, depending on what you eat and when and when you take the meds. It’s more closely like if I told you to drink half of a glass of water fast and then sip on the rest slowly. I highly doubt it’s waiting to be released hours later. It’s always being released, slow.
