    It was lucky that you started now and having your brain in high performance mode helped you identify and treat every health issue ahead of time. You are much more informed than the average patient that often times do not tend to their health until they get an heart attack or stroke or chest pain or cancer. Considering also that vyvanse and methylphenidate in treatment dosages only raise blood pressure 5-7mmhg in healthy individuals in combination with a bp medication can prob be used but the point of it is that it betters symptoms like for example not getting an education, developing obesity or drug abuse etc. also keep in mind coffee and nicotine increase bp by 15mmhg each, and have synergistic effects so even if short lived it is wise to avoid those aswell as they do not have similar effects on dopamine (more skewed towards noradrenaline).

    You've been through a lot holy crap, I love watching your updates and really love how authentic and real you are. I've been on vyvane for 2 months now and the insomnia is so hard, sleeping is very hard and I've been blaming all my health problems on lack of sleep but damn

      This is what late-treated or untreated ADHD looks like for a LOT of people. Those decades of unsuccessfully-treated depression and anxiety and addictions ruin your dental, metabolic, cardiac and mental health. And it all starts hitting in middle age. There's a reason untreated ADHD shortens your life by 20 years.

    OH Shit, this is exactly how I feel like on Adderall. My shoulders, my neck ...and I kept thinking it was from working a lot. We even did an MRI, I went to a dermatologist ect, I'm speechless. I started to think it was lupas...

      I forgot to add, I also am seeing muscle wasting. I have high CK level due to due to who knows what... but simce i started taking adderall after a while was erythromelalgia, red hands and feet. I also started to get headaches, teary eyes... so I don't want to think its the adderall but i've been taking 30-40 mg everday for the last year... I'm not sure what to do

      Yeah, it's hard to accept that the medication that seems to be helping the best mentally could be causing all the physical issues. All I can recommend is talking to your Dr about your concerns and taking some time off it, harder said than done. See if anything improves and go from there. Or like in my case lower your stimulant and add an anxiety med.

    Vyvanse made me extremely irritable, antsy, and made me develop severe OCD.
    it also can reduce appetite....did the same for me.

      I have Narcolepsy. If you fall asleep randomly, or feel out of breathe and fatigued, look into that if you can as well.
      It isnt what you think it is. Its not always as bad as they portray, but yes you can fall or collapse randomly as well as have "sleep attacks:.
      Vyvanse worsened my narcolepsy, and consequently made me super tired.
      Just food for thought!

    • @riverjacobs2023

      Also, some narcolepsy gives you insomnia at night due to the urge to sleep or nap making your sleep schedule all over

    I disliked vyvanse so much how did the adderall booster help? Does it help with a later crash?

    • @EnjoyingLifesJourney
      @EnjoyingLifesJourney  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It can help with the crash, but mostly just to help the focus last longer. I didn't like using adderall with vyvanse because the next day, my vyvanse was not as effective.

    • @Paytonbaker1248

      @@EnjoyingLifesJourney that’s so odd, stimulants for some reason would give me the opposite effect like it would be effective but I would experience heavy fatigue but keep in mind I am a hyperactive individual. Adderall was the only medication that helped better so far but I’m only taking 10 mg i was still experiencing symptoms but my mood was much better. It looks different in all of us

    And does your doctor get “annoyed” when you constantly change your medications ? I get so worried that I will keep bothering going back and forth to the clinic

    • @EnjoyingLifesJourney
      @EnjoyingLifesJourney  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My Dr actually encouraged me to email her updates on how I'm feeling through our patient portal. Especially when starting out on medication. Then, she would change the medication if needed, not necessarily me. You want a Dr who is involved and willing to try different meds because we all react differently. Best of luck on your journey.

    • @Paytonbaker1248
      @Paytonbaker1248 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@EnjoyingLifesJourney then I think I will email my doctor as well too! It saves me time. She usually encourages me to visit her every 2 months for a med check but email sounds better tbh I just don’t know how it looks like in different states and hospital organizations

      mine did during the shortage in 2010... and that one was worse for me because vyvanse wasn't covered for me then. It is now. My plan covers the brand and generic and my pharmacy has only brand available.
