When my 40 yrs old son argues with me and tries to teach me how to cook l tell him he is never too old for a smack . Thank You for your recipes and all the fun and your genuine sense of humour , would be very grateful for more savoury food recipes as I don't want to get fatter than I already am , love that phrase , " we are very loudly " 😆😆😆 . You people do not understand the importance of these videos... there should be many more. Please keep putting these out... time is working against us... this information must be recorded for posterity... (I'm having a slight bit of fun here... but I'm actually quite serious!)
Amen ! 700 700 ! Amen ! People don't understand with all the fast food, frozen food, and canned dinner food , that people used to cook! People used to cook with great tradition and good spices, with little money, and it was delicious !! WE made a similar dough and my job (age 6) was at the ready with a paper bag with cinnamon and sugar to shake the 'donuts' in. It was hard for the whole family not to eat it all when it was hot !!/:P Few 'donuts' where left over for the next morning's breakfast.
As a young person, I sadly agree. That is why I am paying more attention to my teta so that I can learn some recipes from her like her soup, bread, and schnitzel. Learn to cook decently, especially Balkan food. Which is one of my favorite cuisines.
Hahaha. Another memory! My dad was Serbian, and my mom was Croatian! The Slava bread had a cross on it. My mom used to make a flakey dough, and I can't remember what it was really called. My dad call it poderane gace (ripped underwear). Does Chef Baba know of this? It's deep fried and topped with powdered sugar. Delicious. I might have to make Lepinjice today. Thanks for the recipes. I have to add an extra comment on counting them. My mom counted them too, and I still do that too. Oh my!
Mene uvijek lepinjice podsjete na prvo ljetovanje sa mužem (dok smo još hodali). Kuća u kojoj smo bili je bila na brdu i nije nam se išlo svako jutro u pekarnu po kruh pa smo često pekli lepinje za doručak (uz to ide dobro i sirni namaz i neka pikantna kobasica). Inače kad sam bila mala, mama ih je često pekla zimi - tople, slane, mirišu... ma divota!
Fenomenalni ste. Zaista nas vracate u detinjstvo. Ne secam se kada sam zadnji put jela lepinjice. Neka vas Bog blagoslovi i pozivi jos dugo godina.
