    Baba I will make this today ,I'm in Canada. So happy to find you cooking Serbian in English ,my husband is Serbian from Romania ,he speaks Serbian he doesn't like to cook ,I know to cook Serbian but I like to see how you do it ,I never made this one so today I will do it,you have a nice family ,and you are typical Serbian woman ,so many nice foods ,now you are my favourite cook on You Tube

      Zdravo Penny. Thank you for your kind comment. I have fun cooking with Damir. He's learning and learning ...and he has never liked to cook. Maybe your husband will do the same one day. :) Some of the recipes look difficult to do --- like Gibanica --- but I show how easy it is to do. If Damir can learn to make Gibanica, anyone can learn to make Gibanica.

      +dee xx Love you too. Sarma episode has been shot. It is scheduled to be released for season 3. Damir is not a fan of Sarma so that is why he put it in Season 3. :)

      dee exx Chef Baba is right, if my grandchildren have stayed at my house and made a mess I watch the programme and it always makes me laugh and relax. I love the way she does the work herself and her son stands around looking like a lemon. We need a young member of the family to write a book about her life and recipes. Love you all . From Britain.

    Hi again Chef BaBa! That looks so good! I sent you an email through Damir that you asked for and I included pictures so you can see what it looks like. When Damir was talking about calories and such, I saw the Listici as a better way to having those sweets we sometimes crave. The Listici has no preservatives and it is now stated that regular sugar is better for you than sweetner. My Serbian grandmother also would make what she called city chicken. That is with pork and beef cubes on a small wooden skewer and she would bread them in flour, eggs, and plain bread crumbs. Then she would brown them in crisco and after browning she would take them out and put them aside. She would then mix the left over eggs and plain bread crumbs (she never wasted either) and make a patty. She would fry those too and put them aside. She would then stir flour in bottom of the pot and then add hot water to make a gravy. She would add the city chicken and dumplings (leftover eggs and bread crumbs) to the gravy. The gravy would fill up to 3/4 of the pan. She would then add celery leaves and put a lid on it. She would bake it at 350 for about 2 hours. She would make mashed potatoes and when the city chicken was done,,,it would be a feast! She always made that. She would also make potato soup when she would make apple strudel. Do you make potato soup? She said her mother taught her those recipes as well when she was a young girl. Sorry this was so long but I always had my grandmother over to my house when I was married and I would learn her Serbian way of cooking! And she also had a wooden platform that was made by my grandfather for her dough. She also had the rolling pin that was just like yours! Thank you again Chef BaBa for the wonderful cooking lessons!

I had a conversation with my son last week before you sent this message and he wanted me to make fried pork (pohovana svinjetina) and fried chicken (pohovana piletina) + mashed potatoes + creamed spinach + peas + pohovani ostatak. It is very similar to how your grandmother makes it.
      Yes, I also make potato soup. We will make episodes on everything your grandmother made. Stay tuned. :)

    I've had this before but a savory with a white cheese type sauce, any ideas what that is? I'd love to know and get a recipe (especially for the sauce) if possible.

      Thank you for watching. I think you are referring to mascarpone. Also, you can put all kinds of things on top of Listici. You can also make homemade shlag pena (whip topping powder). We will show it in one of the future episodes.

    Ahahahah... Carica. Ali kad mu kazete "That's right, SINE".... Mesavina dva jezika tako nonsalantno, preslatko mi je. Objasni mu da testo ne moze sa obe ruke mesiti, jer mora testo da ide u jednom pravcu, a ne na sve strane da se valja. I za siledziju sam se ismejala zestoko. 😂😊
