My favorite line
I actually found that to be one of the only weak points in his responses, mainly because he was inconsistent. At one point he told them they were committing the "ad hominem" logic fallacy, which of course is Latin for a personal attack. I agree with him in principle, that their use of fetus is only to separate themselves from the humanity of the baby. I just think he pressed it a bit too far when he himself will use Latin phrases, like so many that are commonly accepted in English usage.
I truly appreciate Pastor Durbin and his heart to proclaim the truth to the lost.
My favorite was when Jeff asked the guy close to the end if he believes rapists deserve the death penalty and he responds “I don’t believe in killing” whaaaat aaaaan idiot. There’s many of these mixed up in the head idiots walking around in America and I feel so sorry for them. I pray My Jesus saves them Amen.
I truly appreciate Jeff's ministry. And in the spirit of fine-tuning and continuous improvement, I would advise Jeff to adjust this particular statement/question. Lightly attacking "Latin" speaking is a bit inconsistent when he himself references "ad hominem", which is also Latin. I believe it would be better to simply say "Do you know 'fetus' is the Latin word for 'baby'?"

One thing i noticed is for sure they’re very incompetent while talking with Jeff. They have very little knowledge of vocabulary and that is understandable. But the reason they are getting mad and not able to talk or get their point across is do to the fact that Jeff is using reverse psychology on them diminishing their words and belittling their thoughts. There for as you know this is called taunting and provocation. Now, im not one to talk as i have no beliefs in what anyone should and shouldn’t do but this is very well planned out on Jeff’s part the believers on Jeffs half are as clueless as the others that are on the opposite end. You know if you’re some what educated it is very easy to flip words around as jeff is doing by using their words against them like fetus and baby and all that. If someone brings an argument like "my body my choice" then, it's obviously ignoring that the separate body and DNA growing in the mother, isn't part of their body. It's connected, but it isn't their body, it's a completely different body. How does one refute false logic without pointing out the fallacy in their words or definitions? That's like saying a person who says "The Earth is Flat" gets to make up their own definition of flat so you can't prove them wrong with definitions or logic.
Fetus is Latin for baby, how is he wrong? Pretending that the human baby isn't really a human because someone refers to pre-born as fetus or zygote or embryo, is doing exactly as you claim Jeff is doing, except he's correcting their speech. It's the same as calling abortion 'women's healthcare'. Killing a human in a mother's body on purpose isn't healthcare, it's murder. Pretending that it is healthcare doesn't change the fact that abortion is ending the life of a living human. Dehumanizing a person by refusing to acknowledge their humanity is real strawman arguments, Jeff tries to rephrase what their saying more accurately and then corrects them.
Taunting and provocation? That's what people who have little emotional control would call 'losing an argument.' If the truth is taunting and provocation, then you're denying truth. Conflating your hurt feelings with taunts because you would prefer to deny the truth doesn't mean you were provoked, it means your pride is stronger than your comprehension.

You forget a very important argument: When a person has sex, one of the ramifications is pregnancy. Every time a woman has sex, there is a great chance they will get pregnant. Even contraception is not 100% foolproof. If they are going to have sex, they must accept the responsibilities that come with it.

I bet if people were honest most of the people who are pro-choice are survivors of sexual assault. @@gwens5093 I am very sorry to hear that, and I hope your rapist is brought to justice. However, I am still of the belief that, even in the case of rape, the baby shouldn't be punished. It is very unfortunate for the mother, and there are always options for a mother who isn't ready to raise her child, but murder is not the answer. Beside that, rape, incest, and medical necessity (saving the life of the mother) account for about 1% of abortions. You don't want to neglect those people, but abortion is 99% about dodging responsibility by murdering a human being whos existence is "inconvenient"

What I have never understood is how our judicial system chooses when to call a fetus a baby when it suits them. If a woman was on her way to abort her fetus then they don’t consider it a life but if she is hit and killed on her way to the hospital the person who hit her could get prosecuted for killing the mother and her baby.

An entire generation has reached adulthood but are still suckling on the tit of silicon valley and big government.. the Zucc, and the state are NOT MOTHER. I go to Uni with SO MANY of these kinds of people who do the bare minimum in their classes, and would rather be doing something else. Why don't these intellectual flops just quit college as soon as they know it's not for them? I don’t see this as an intellectual issue, I see it as an issue of the heart. Abortion as a subject is something that hits very close to home for me & one I am passionately against. You see, I was born to a teenage mother & was almost aborted. My family pressured, tried to bribe, & did everything they possibly could to convince her having me would ruin her life. Praise God that he gave me to her, because after much thought & prayer she was strong enough to stand up to them & decided to give me life. I will not lie, it was hard for us for a while & at times I’m sure she wondered if she had made the right decision. When I was about 4-5 she needed help & went to family. Being a child I was eavesdropping & overhead them tell her if she has done what they told her was best she wouldn’t be in this situation. I was shattered & I did not tell her I knew about it until I was a teenager. I carried this knowledge like the weight of the world upon my shoulders. I felt I had ruined her life, that I was the reason for our struggles. I thought her life would’ve been so much better & far easier had I never been born. I dealt with depression & knowing everything ate at me constantly. When I finally gathered the courage & spoke with my Mother, she openly wept & had had no idea I knew about everything that happened. I wish I had come to her sooner because it would’ve made a world of difference. It was one of the first times I’d ever seen her cry, she has always been so incredibly strong. What she said to me that day changed my life & our relationship forever. She told me I didn’t ruin her life, rather I had saved it. She told me about so many things that I’d never known & suddenly it all made sense. Having me gave her focus, made her determined, want to be a better person, someone I’d be proud of, someone to fight for, strive for, & made her stronger. Now my Mother has everything she dreamed of having that she was told would be impossible for a teenaged mom to achieve. She went to college & became a teacher, met my adopted father who’s the greatest man on earth, owns a beautiful home he built for us, has her children, grandchildren, a fulfilled wonderful life & is adored by us all. She said she values it all the more because she earned it through perseverance & hard work. If it weren’t for her choice to give me life, hers would’ve taken a different path & she likely wouldn’t have the life, knowledge, insight, & faith she has today. Her strength & faithfulness is beyond inspiring & has always told me all credit belongs to God who has strengthened & blessed her. It’s a precious blessing to be her child & it’s something I’m ever mindful of. I have friends & family who’ve had abortions & I’ve seen the effects it’s had on them & their lives. I’ve been there for the tears & seen the toll it has had on them & the emotionally devastating wrath of regret. I would hate to know my success came at the cost of the life of my child & can’t imagine having to I live with that. As an adult Ive lost a child who was still born. There’s not a day that goes by that my son doesn’t come to mind. As a person of faith I know I will see him again, but until that day his absence weighs heavy on my heart. As wretched as that pain is I cannot put into words & I would do anything to try to prevent others from knowing such suffering. I can’t imagine how much worse that pain would be if it were by my own hands that my child lost their life. I do not think I could carry on living if I had to live with that. My heart truly aches for women & men in that situation. It’s painfully uncomfortable to share my testimony & such personal information. However, if it saves the life of one child or inspires someone to change their mind then it’s more than worth it. After my personal experience & the things I’ve learned & seen I can’t see any valid reason for the murder of a child. If you’re honest it’s not abortion, it’s murder. They feel everything. I can’t see any sane or reasonable person who would endorse the obliteration limb from limb of a baby. Personal faith aside, just as a human being I find it repugnant. If you held that child in your arms & could see them developing, I find it hard to believe one could condone the same act they are willing to go through when it’s a sort of out of sight out of mind issue. I’ve debated many people, & I have yet to hear any good reason why abortions should be performed.
