I really appreciate how upfront and direct this story is and the advice given to those applying for interviews. On the other hand, this is a sad travesty to me that these interviews are so dependent on a person's answers and confidence. This does not taken into account the cultural backgrounds, personality differences, etc. It exposes fundamental flaws in the US immigration system

I got a rejection when I applied for an F1. Unfortunately, the school made an error in their entry in my I-20. It seemed that it was the reason of my rejection because when the VO asked about it, my answer didn't match the entry and thats when he ended the interview (which was less than a minute). I informed the school and they said they made a mistake. What should be my next step? Thanks for any insight and suggestions...
I’m so sorry to hear that! If you are able to rectify the mistake, then once it is fixed, schedule another interview. And be able to explain the mistake for the previous rejection 😃

I actually got motivated having watched your experiences. Likewise I have been rejected twice and my third appointment is on 19th of next month. I did tried to ask why she rejected me and she was like I need to present a different view so is there's anything you can offer me in terms of advice. Thanks

I got my F1 visa in my age of 46. First attempt successful. Officer asked me 4 questions in 50 sec. Done. Tips... (1) Be Confident (2) Proper Documents (3)A Good Financial back ground (4) Just answer the questions. DO NOT LIE. The visa officer is super super trained people to dig your mind.. So don't lie.

He took it looked at it then gave it back to me and was typing I don't know what then he said sorry ur ineligible for a visa🤦

Hi, thank you for the valuable information. I am undergraduate student and I was enrolled under pathways program computer science bachelors but I was refused under 214 b on July 10 2023 . Now I’ve reapplied for spring 2024 term and my interview is on 28th of august , now I’ve scored enough bands required for direct entry in computer science bs program also I got 50% Scholarship from my university , for showing strong ties I’m going to emphasise that my entire family is in india and my father has farming business and property of 20 acres , also I’ll be carrying additional documents to show strong ties . Do you think these changes are enough to get visa now?

Good question, I’m not 100% sure. I think you should be ok. If you want more clarity you should speak with an immigration lawyer or expert at Argo Visa.
My visa was rejected 3 times 2011, 2014 and 2018. Applying fourth time now. Hope for the best

I was rejected 3 times when I applied for my Bachelor program. Though I couldn't figure out why I was rejected many times at that time, but later I knew it was mostly the game of confidence you show up in the interview. I still remember how nervous I was during my interviews back then.

Couple of common reasons for F-1 visa denials include:
Failure to demonstrate non-immigrant intent.
Inability to show genuine, truthful interest in pursuing an education in US.
A red flag: I-20s from Universities that have a history of CPT abuse.
Lastly, I agree that documents are not important. Visa officers are aware that documents can be forged, relatively easily.

@@nilanjanaroychowdhury6607 when you are filling your DS160 please take that form as an interview. Present your whole truth. Because the consulate basically judges your case on the decisions you present on the DS160. Also you should be ready to explain on how you gonna fund your trip, family ties and also don't be nervous, be calm and create a friendly conversation.

@@chaiandcoaching They just asked three questions... The first one was a tricky one. They were going through my passport n saw the schenegan visa... so they asked me 1) what were you doing there? N then they asked 2) What is the purpose of your visit? n 3) Who'll be funding you?
I answered all questions in one liners, so it finished in 15 secs...

I got my 2nd rejection from a guy, and the 3rd time I went there, it was him again, I heard from a friend this is not how it work, and I brought it up, he confirmed, and asked one of the staff to switch window for me. It was a woman, she left to talk to the guy who rejected me the last time, and give me arejection. LOL

I got rejections bcz I said I ll pay my fees by card it was my mistake I did it .counsellor wants to know who sponsor me actually my father sponsor but I did mistake I said pay by card .in that reason i rejected .is he ask me same thing in next interview or help me
