Just 50k kilometers, spend most of the time in a barn protected from rain and snow, rusting like it sat on the bottom of the ocean the whole time. That’s pure Rover "quality“ 👍🏻
I used to have a H reg 416GSi a few years ago, just 20,000 miles in a darker shade of metallic blue, but the same fantastic blue interior. They are lovely cars and fairly hardy so I have no doubt it wont take much to get it back to its former glory!
Has to be saved, I worked for Rover for a few years then they sold the Foundry but we were still a supplier until 05 . In 16 years of been entitled to staff discount etc when offers were on we could get cars for roughly half price I only wanted a 220Turbo Coupe or the 2 door Hatchback 220Turbo. Cars had to be in stock somewhere I looked all over Yorkshire and not a single Rover franchise had either. Found a demonstrator in Leeds but as it was literally a used car I couldn't use my discount. Dum salesman for weeks kept ringing me as I said its more expensive than a brand new car. So in 16 years I never bought a Rover or an MG. A lot at work owned 75s & MG ZTs. If you sold them privately & got rid after a year people didn't lose anything due to the price discount etc.
It looks a lot like a rover 213s which i use to own and that i regret scrapping it after rebuilding the head 2 times wished i kept it now it was a great little car.
@@jude6kvI know the guy that owns it. He owns the local scrapyard but he left it in a yard behind my mates place to rot but it’s still in good nick, next time I’m up I’ll take some photos

it’s actually better for rust than some of the road going ones that we’ve owned, lol
well, not really - the barn had a river of water run through it anytime it rained so its actually faired pretty well hahahahahaha
Great to watch you saving a great nineties rover
they’re great cars and this one deserves to be used!

This is the true definition of a barn find
