- Welcome back all!
In this video I return to one of my favourite auction houses for their June, weekend long, classic sale! Anglia Car Auctions certainly know how to put on a sale and I was blown away by the sheer quality of lots that were going under the hammer. Many low milage heroes feature in the video but there are also many reasonably priced classics that would make perfect summer cruisers.
As per usual I recorded many classic fords but I feel that I also recorded a nice variety of makes and models of classic cars in this one. I do ask viewers that if you'd like to see a particular car then leave me a comment below and I try my best to find and record this classic in a future video.
A huge thank you to everyone at Anglia Car Auctions, as they put on a flawless auction every time we attend, with everyone playing their own important role. Please do let me know what your pick of the auction was as I love to read and reply to all of your comments!

Grew up when most of these cars were first hitting the roads & posters of them were on nedroom walls., along with Linda Lusardi!
LOVE THE LOTUS CORTINA. 👌👌Another great video Mitch. Top man. 👍
If i was ever to win the lottery that DB5 would be right at the top of my list. Thank you for another great narrated and in-depth look at the auctioned cars which was a fantastic watch and much appreciated Mitch. It must be hard not to just throw your hand up at some of these beauties that went under the hammer, but mate even some of these basic classic cars are getting so expensive now. Look forward to the next post. 👍
Mitch never mind too long - I was disappointed it finished so soon!!
I think that red BMW was an M535i rather than an M5 - the difference being of course, that the one at the auction had the 12valve 218bhp engine - the full fat M5 is the 24valve 286bhp and would have gone for several multiples of what that one didnt sell for😂
Such a great video, could have watched for another 45 minutes!!
That red beemer is in a dealers forecourt for 20k now
The bubbles definitely burst.
That 3.0s blue Capri was a local car used to see him take his rubbish to the dump in that !!
the red bmw M535I All day ,and the mexico estate yes .
I bought a saxo VTS in 2000. First one with face lift. in wicked red. What a car. this one here got the VTR wheels.
I was thinking the same thing about the 14” VTR alloys. Did the VTS only have 15’s, or did the pre-facelift ones ever get 14’s as well?
Great watch Mitch glad your out there mate thanks for sharing with us, we're to start there were so many great cars, the Anglia van was great, I liked the Saxo and the blue Capri I could go through the whole lot no way I could have went it would have taken me a week to walk round them all thanks again mate
another fantastic vid , many thanks love these topics . fav car there was the Crusader , what a stunning car and the colour was to die for
Great auction that was! ..was great to put a face to a name! ..Spoke to you briefly near the low mileage burgundy Metro....must have been the biggest classic auction I've been to in a while! ... keep up the good videos 👍👍😎😎
Another great video!
Great video Mitch have inspired me to get out to the next sale 👍🏻
At last another auction video. Thanks for the fix Mitch 👍
Nice one mate. Some big numbers.
Love these auction videos !! Nice one Mitch definitely Leave the Cosworth as is and daily it !!

Top video mate keep em coming
what a gorgeous Cortina, would really love one again, cheers rodders
There didn't seem as many people at the auction this time. Thanks for posting 👍
Great video Mitch. For me it has to be either the Mk5 Cortina Crusader, the Sierra Sapphire Cosworth or The BMW E28 M5. Three absolute stunning cars.
This is a great vid…. So interesting to see what gets sold at these auctions. I wish I had the balls to buy from one.
Nice video dude 😎
So glad you had a look over that focus st theyve been peaking my interest as I always wanted the rs but don’t think I’ll ever get one for the money they ask now! Haha 😊
great vid - cheers
you do am an amazing job love peeping into the auction world
Great Video Mitch car of the auction for me Cortina Crusader but not as good as my new estate 😆
Another great video mate keep them coming 👍.....Mike skegness
DB5’s these days are the hardest to find! Theres so many different ones go for different money. Commissioned ones beleive it or not are worth less than the ones that haven’t been touched. Originality always wins! Especially with old Astons 👏🏻🫡 class video mate! Channel is growing nicely! Well deserved
Nice to see your interview on the live stream 👍
Loving the look of that xjs in front of the red van
I remember shopping around for my first car in 1999. I went to view a Nova SR, but didn’t like the leg room. I’m 6ft 2 tall, so gave it a miss. I also looked at a 1.9 205 GTI, though ended up buying a MK2 Golf. Happy days
Always enjoy your videos especially the auction ones. My son is keen to attend one but it would be very hard not to bid on so many of the cars.
Car of the auction for me was the, Fiat 126. Don't often see cars sold on a, Maidan bid but it caught every one asleep on an appreciating classic. Very rare car now especially non big bumper and plastic exterior.
the st170 getting very rare.i had a nice one same colour back in 2016.ive had a few mk1s and now have a sport tdci 87k in ink blue which was rare when new.mk1s are in the climb.
I'm out just 2 minutes 3 seconds and you are back on the bins after an ok start
Bye then, you won't be missed

Yuk, you brought back memories of me having to endure, driving a 1996 Escort 55D van at work.....the 1.6D version.
They were so bad. 0-60 mph time is stated as 14 secs, felt more like 20+ secs! A zero for looks too!
2 good things about them, they key unlocked the doors and the stereo was like any other stereo.
Mitch i would love for you 2 see my capri if you think these were great mine is all original 100% better than what was on here.
Thought the Capri 2.8 injection would have gone for more than £8,100 ........🤔
that Beetle is a perfect Beach Buggy candidate
These Mk1 Golf Gti seem to go for half the price of a clean Mk4 escort cab
The Mk6 Escort van in red with the London registration, very likely ex-Royal Mail.
Can't believe that BMW 535i didn't go!! That was beautiful. Love the Capri 3.0 but surely that's too money now for a Capri? And for a Sierra Cossie? Merc 190E or BMW 5 for me
Nitpicking, you, surely not Mitch?? :)
I loved the mk5 cortina and the 3.0S capri. But if i brought the mk2 Escort estate immediately when i'dve got home I'd have to take off the mk1 Mexico stripes as they just look wrong on a mk2. Despite the fact that mk1 and mk2 estates shared the same bodyshell but with a different front. It was obviously a "Mexico tribute" done on the cheap as it still had its factory square headlamps and chrome bumpers, as well as its original interior. The picture in the car is a mk1 with RS2000 stripes plus bubble arches.
Car of the auction Mitch?
I would go for the Ford Anglia Post Office van👌
i had a lovely cortina crusader 2 ltr . back in the day . red and silver . must have been mad to change it .
lots of good cars, great content surprised you didnt buy anything ford..
That Citroen gsx was sweet I'm surprised it didn't sell
Vid markers would be really nice ;-)
Piaggio = Pee-adge-ee-oh. Valentino Rossi and his mates hooned around on those when they were youths.
Really interesting and full of info, as always Mitch. Keep up the vids, they are always a treat for us!
Pretty sure that Sierra Cossie was on a Paul Linfoot video ?
Capri 3lt S gorgeous. I had a old white beetle. Used as a run around for my staff. Left it on my mates drive for over a year. Told him to scrap it 😥😥
Mercedes 2.3 were built like tanks. Now soft as shit. Can’t believe that mondeo st went for so much
All beetles must be like triggers broom by now.
Bet that saoh cosworth has had full paint no door strips
That Mk 2 escort estate Mexico tribute car as you said it should have a 1.6 Pinto engine as that's what Mk Mexico's had and not a 2.0
1900 for the red van, wow
The saxo vts ❤ silly rare car and even rarer colour
Those Escort vans are ex BT and Royal mail
They didn't cost £1400 when sold off
Someone put do you actually talk like that how sad that people do that you are a great person great video sad people probably jealousy lol take care 👍👍
What?!!!😮
I love these auction videos, really takes me back to seeing a lot of these on a daily. The government car scrappage schemes have wiped a lot of these beauties out. Kudos to all who save these cars now. Anglia Auctions.. I’d spend a fortune!
Great scrappage scheme...trading in a car like these for an inferior Korean box.Well done government!
@@adams7405 Agree!
Crusader Cortina for me
Wine Cosworth ❤
That ST170 was a cheap . What an investment that could be if you stuck it away .
Cossie or 190e cosworth ,190 all day
Basic Mitch
Pee. Agio is pronounced and it's an apay
Great vid mate, the ST24 will be a rare thing now, I agree with you on the ST170 being a future classic, loads have been thrown away already!! I thought I recognised the Citroën from WB!! 3.0S Capri and the Saff Cossy were nice things too 👍
Pee a jee o. Is how to pronounce piaggio.
prices almost affordable again
they never made a mk2 escort estate, just the wings + dash were updated
mk2 mexico's were 1600 pintos, you needed a RS 2000 for the 2ltr
keep it up young man
That BMW isn't a genuine M5
pee *aj* ee oh
Jesus £50k for a Dog rough Cosworth you would be gutted paying that if you were a phone bidder.
Pee are gee o 😂
Apay
Sexy cars❤
It's pronounced 'pee-adge-i-o' 'app-ay'
Can't quite figure why you Brits love those mediocre Fords. Nostalgia isn't worth much.....
