Fun fact, while Bediviere is the only Servant so far with "Calm and Collected" as a skill, there are other Servants with composite skills that use it as a part of it, such as Edmond Dantes with his "Determination of Steel" skill.
Honestly, returning the sword to the lake could be a support or Suicide offensive NP. Let him throw away the sword and now he can no longer be retain his summoning, but when he discards it, the lake itself forms where the enemies are and they're swept away alongside it.
I like this iteration of Bedivere, the good thing of contemporary fiction is that it can breathe new life in mythical characters that were underdeveloped in their original story.

I just did some research on Bedivere's magic spear and it would make for an amazing NP! In Culhwch and Olwen, Cai described Bedwyr's magical spear as having a blade tip that detaches from its shaft, draws blood from the wind, before landing back upon the tip of the spear-pole. It's also said Bedivere was the fastest to draw blood because when Bedivere's spear would thrust once, it also makes nine counter-thrust with it. The anecdote of the spear seems to combine the powers of these 3 artifacts of Lugh: - Fragarach: The Answerer/Retaliator, a sword that was said to be undefendable and gives the power over wind to its weilder, one that in Fate has the power to make a causality reversing counter attack. - Spear of Assail: A gae (javelin) claimed by Lugh that flies and returns to its weilder on command. - Areadbhar: A spear of Lugh that was said to be alive and have a literal thirst for blood. It was said to fly and kill on its own will unless its blood thirst is quenched by dipping it in a vessel full of blood.
The idea of Bedwyr summoned as he would be from welsh legends having np not being a result of the spear being magic but the result of some technique akin to okita’s or Sasaki’s np will not leave my head and I don’t know why.
Bedivere in welsh legends is noted to dish out 3 strikes for every strike done to him and being faster than 3 man put together and if remember correctly with his spear he does 9fold damage which is interperated to mean that he does, in one strike the damage of 9 strikes or if he does 9 strikes at once. So you can imagine him having some sasaki kojiro type supernatural technique. (Edit: It says that to every strike given Bedivere does 9 counter thrusts.) While we are on it in early welsh legend Tristain everyone whom he draws blood from will die and everyone who draws blood from will also die. Then he kills an Army of 300. The King of the army approaches King Arthur for Tristain to stop and Arthur says that he cant because Tristain is unapproachable due to the above mentioned reason and sends Gawain who in welsh legend is noted to have a golden toungue, meant figuratively and persuades Tristain to stop. Welsh Arthurian legend was busted.

Technically other than Arthur's NP Excalibur, Heracles's NP Nine Lives also suits Bedivere the best, since a technique that simultaneously hits 9 times matches Bediveres Welsh legends of him being able to make a strike that is like 9 blows. Imagine if Bedivere had the NP to stack both at the same time, using a holy sword to do 9 simultaneous attacks in a single moment. I'd name the NP Marmyadose Sequence, after the sword of Heracles that Arthur in legend received that's said to surpass Excalibur in might and the sword of Arthur which was compared to Caliburn and was given to surpassingly skilled Lancelot, the name of which alludes to the attack being a 'sequence' of 9 attacks. Also 'Bedrydant: Perfect-Sinew' should totally be a passive skill/NP for Bedivere. Admittedly, generic skills being unique to someone isn’t new in FGO. EMIYA’s Hawkeye for example is something a ton of Archers have as a part of Clairvoyance, it’s almost as ubiquitous as Independent Action. Circuit Connection as well is just turning on one’s Magic Circuits, something every mage does (though EMIYA’s way of doing so is unique enough to justify that EX rank).
More often than not, much of the characters in fgo either get something unique that is outside of their legends for the sake of the story or have something omitted since there is no practical use for it in the game or is simply of no use for the kind of story the fgo team wants to tell. I'm sure plenty of characters have a deus ex machina of some type that would easily wrap up the conflict of the story that has to be written off in a line explaining why they dont have it or simply ignore it all together. A good example of this is that Ishtar didnt have the bull of heaven, would have been super useful, but we didnt get it. Funny enough, i believe in Fate/strange Fake, the istar of that world "borrowed" the bull of heaven and it is implied to be the bull of heaven Istar lost. As the people have said, fate can do what ever it wants with the version of characters in their game, make them a bigger deal or lessen their role. Accuracy isnt the point, its the enjoyability of the story being told that is the main focus (also, making the character enjoyable to roll for than what their original version is important for the fgo team lol).
Can you talk more about the other knights of the round table? Specially the ones with high potential to become servants but are still not in the roster of FGO
I think it's a bit of a weak excuse on Fate's part to claim that any of the knights of the round table would lack the notoriety to become heroic spirits without shenanigans. When you take multiple timelines into consideration, all the knights should have had as much notoriety as they got in any version of the legends we have or gotten boosted by the existence of those legends. The rules around who does and doesn't qualify as a heroic spirit feels really inconsistent sometimes.
Yes! That's exactly right! "There's no rule that says a fake can't surpass the original!"
Oh look, its Princess Bedi!

Funny how in Deen's FATE, Bedivere is voiced by a woman
Bedivere in FGO uses "QQABB" which was considered to be "lancer deck". So no, fgo dev didn't complete forget about his magic lance

My first NP5 due to great circumstances when I started. Can't even get him to 120 because of how Servant work.
Coins are annoying. x_x
Oh sweet! I just got caught up on your videos so getting another right away is awesome.
The buildup to the Roast of FGO Ceaser continues
I'm just doing it until people actually want me to do his video - or I find the right moment to do it. :o
@@CrazyYurie Might be fun to do Him and Cleopatra near each other, like how you did Sigfried and Krimhild
@@SharinganVizard07 The contrast may be interesting.
Damn imagine 5 star lancer bedivere
Hell yeah. Bedi video
I'm still more of a fan of Galahad, but that's just me. Bedievere is still one of the Great
MY GOAT 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can you talk more about the other knights of the round table? Specially the ones with high potential to become servants but are still not in the roster of FGO
At some point... maybe?
@@CrazyYurie I pray to Merlin's mother you do lol
@@Mikael_Ore Whaa?!?
I think it's a bit of a weak excuse on Fate's part to claim that any of the knights of the round table would lack the notoriety to become heroic spirits without shenanigans. When you take multiple timelines into consideration, all the knights should have had as much notoriety as they got in any version of the legends we have or gotten boosted by the existence of those legends. The rules around who does and doesn't qualify as a heroic spirit feels really inconsistent sometimes.
Perhaps, and yet some are more famous than others.
How about a magic spear?
Is our oppressor hating boi Sparticus on the to-do list?
There's a community tab.
Can't even read and understand the original text. So it is based in Welsh legends like they had same made if literature of France by the authors.
