They aren’t sure if it is or not, just speculation, gray fox transmission cut off before he could reveal it all. Big boss is just playing along, or stalling, or however you want to interpret it.

Fox fed Snake Intel thinking there's no way he'll make it that far. Just a wild theory and something I'm thinking about changing in my material, what if Fox is Venom? No.... Nevermind, that can't work Fox and Snake trained together and Snake was only 12 in 1984. So scratch that. Haha!

Naomi did inject him with nanomachines but she couldn't go through with the accelerated aging. She injected him with a placebo instead. The reason being she wanted him to live a wide awake nightmare of all the lives he'd taken including Fox. In her mind, it was a fate worse than death so no, I didn't kill him. His ending is slightly different.
It’s really a shame we never have gotten a remake of Solid Snake when he was young. It really makes you wonder what Snake was like before the events of Outer Heaven and Zanzibar. What truly molded him into the character we see from Metal Gear Solid 1- Metal Gear Solid 4. Especially to see how he learns from Gray Fox as a Rookie. Great video, loved the similar voice affect from MGS1 as it makes him sound abit younger.
Yeah I’m still hoping for a proper remake one day! Solid snake is such an interesting character, his entire life was war all the way til the end. The events of mg and mg2 are pivotal moments as well, mg1 and mg2 are like what mgs3 was for big boss. Snake and Fox have kind of a big brother little brother relationship, and even as enemies they’re still friends. They’re just tools to be used and discarded when they stop becoming useful in the cycle of war. Which makes you think well then what does outer heaven represent? Are they the bad guys? All good stuff!
It's a pity that Konami and Kojima himself don't seem too interested in a project like this besides just soft remasters of the games. There are many references to these first Metal Gear games in MGS and beyond that only make sense when you know their lore. Cyborg Gray Fox is a good example.
@on3278 Big Boss and his seemingly infinite clones (literally and metaphorically) Kojima is a competent writer and has some nice ideas here and there, but honestly he gets too pretentious sometimes or gets too obsessed on things that the audience doesn't ask at all.
Some group about 12 years ago made a short fan film that touches on that. It's a well kept secret from a group called Orion Optimus. They nailed it. The fight scenes are freaking brutal for a fan made film.
This is a step in the right direction. all we need now is real artists on this with real voice actors. For a one person channel this is exceptional use of ai concept art and voices.

As a lifelong fan of the series, first playing the first game at 4 years old around 95, this means a lot to see someone else's vision of what we all imagined the story would look like more clearly. This deserves a sub. I hope to see more Brother 💪🏽😁🙏🏽
This is excellent, dude. My only suggestion would be to use Snake's MGS2 voice instead of MGS1, so that Snake isn't the only one with a radio distortion effect over his dialogue. He sounds a little older in 2, but I think it would be less distracting without the difference in audio quality. I'd also love to see the iconic Codec screen implemented personally, but the atmosphere and use of music here is perfect.
I thought the same thing, thanks for the suggestion, his mgs2 voice is clear as day, any games after it though, the voice gets too old sounding, I’m not sure David Hayter can do the younger snake voice anymore. 😩

Was there in 1998 when Metal Gear Solid for the PS1 came out. To this day, it’s remained my favorite game of all time. Metal Gear has always been my favorite series of all time and I have always dreamed of a proper remake of the Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake on a modern platform and this anime just reinforces this fact beyond a doubt. Thank you beyond words for this. It’s wonderful to know there are people out there who care about this universe as much as I do.
Facts when this dropped, I was in the 6th grade. This game was all the rage. If you wasn’t playing this or played this back then, you missed out for sure. This changed everything. Plus how kool was it to smoke a cigarettes while in mission
Same here MGS series has the best stories telling or lore then any other games that was ever made from PS1 to 5. I would love a new MGS games that take place in a new universe that tell the story of a new Solid Snake, but still use the same voice actor cause he is too awesome.

I know they have the remake of MGS3 coming out this year and the remastered collections sound like they will continue to come. With Kojima out of Konami, I’ll we be dumbfounded if they have the balls to make a MGS6 without him. His fingerprints are all over each game. There is a path forward to make it work, but the right people behind the scenes have to be involved as Metal Gear Survive has demonstrated.

The 1980's style of anime for this is the perfect fit for this even more so because the MG has its story in the 80's

0:34, The quick summary of Snake’s backstory contrasting against the hints of his future identity struggles, 1:31, Big Boss being described as ambiguously proud or loathing of Snake (resenting that he was a clone of him made without his consent, 3:33, but respecting him “as a soldier and as a man”), 4:04, Schnieder’s backstory, 5:46, Snake intentionally getting captured and 6:59, 7:06, Gray Fox’s debrief were all very well done and really fleshed out this adaptation of events.
9:06, Frank also addressing Outer Heaven as the “home” of these mercenaries that have no connections to their countries of origin is also very effective as he himself will eventually become just like them when he realizes Big Boss is the one orchestrating this conspiracy, as well as Snake, who will become a globe-trotting vigilante as he becomes more aware of the Patriots secretly running the government (the organization Big Boss was in a secret war with).
4:54, On a lesser note, Snake specifically being depicted with an iDroid instead of just a radio and Codec was a cool way to link this adaptation with the prequels.
