Can you explain what part of the story Episode 1 was? This episode 2 seams like the Metal Gear 1 story, and with big boss sounding like kiefer Sutherland indicates that this was Venom snake. Makes sense. Why is big boss voice different in episode 1?

Except I probably went overboard with the Fire Trooper. I changed his name to Sergei Bolov aka Eternal Flame and you can probably guess who his Grandfather was. 😉 I didn't do much with Shot Maker and Machine Gun Kid except they where children raised in Outer Heaven and it was all they knew of the world. Kevin Sims and Jake Fogler. You've got me thinking of doing more stuff with my notebooks and writing more pieces. Yes! MGS! Did this to me. Haha.

Snake being a rookie instead of a hardened veteran is refreshing to hear and see and the fact your implementing the events of MGS V is also so cool. I love how you expanded a bit upon the bosses of this game since due to the technical limitations at the time they were stereotypical 80s action villains but still respectful of the source material.
"You're Pretty Good", but seriously, these videos are top notch quality and this one nailed It with the backstory of Machinegun Kid and Shotmaker, two characters that were only present at this game, which a considerable part of the fanbase, didn't played, so by doing this videos, you're indirectly telling MG1 lore for those who never played It, like myself.
I only played the Nintendo of this game never made it that far but brings back memories of kid getting lost in a giant ass military base no maps and maybe tips from friends or Nintendo magazine if you lucky no internet when I was growing up! Most of my friends had to draw a map to know where to go. These days teens are lucky cause of tech being updated with so much info but sure does bring back memories!

I like the detail of using CQC because Big Boss trained him to do so but remember to not write Snake using it in sequences after Metal Gear 1 as Solid Snake would refuse to use CQC after discovering Big Boss' betrayal. Or if you have to make him use it, acknowledge his distain for doing so.
Good points, although I think it would be interesting for him to HAVE to use it when fighting Big Boss because if he doesn't he'll simply be outmatched and then of course add the distain element to it. But that's a long ways down the road, still gotta figure out what to do with Snake vs Venom!
Also remember that snake didn't actually fight big boss in operation intrude n313, only that he thought he fought big boss, only to not realise that big boss doesn't have a horn protuding from his head.
@@FailureOfAName Actually the horn was explained. The horn would eventually fall out as that's how the body deals with inpalements. The body slowly pushes it out. So by the time MG1 happens it fell out. It would probably leave a scar and maybe Venom would keep it as a memento.

0:39, The subtle pause as Big Boss (or rather, Venom Snake) tries to keep his deception a secret felt very true to the original game. 7:17, Snake also being established as suspicious encountering multiple obstacles back to back also works well within the narrative in establishing that Snake’s intelligence, but also in terms of meta-narrative, as is aware that something is throwing obstacles at him and turning what should be a simple stealth mission into a a gauntlet of elite super soldiers (it’s also ironic that the primary antagonist of this series are artificial intelligence’s manipulating and recreating events as a commentary on sequels, while this “anime” is being created using artificial intelligence).
2:30, Additionally, like a lot of elements in this adaptation, Shotmaker is made far more fleshed out of a character, especially in comparison to the more basic villain with a basic gimmick he was in the original game. Their fight also being depicted as a means to display Snake’s tactical prowess (or just, remembering “the basics of CQC”), agility and reflexes over stronger opponents (as well as his capacity for mercy, as he only incapacitates Shotmaker and leaves instead of executing him while he’s defenseless) was an effective way to characterize both of them.
5:07, The same can be said for Machine Gun Kid in how he is of single age to Snake, but far more arrogant and relying heavily on firearms, while Snake exploits the environment and a well placed smoke grenade to get the advantage (only this time, Snake shoots him because he is more of an immediate threat than Shotmaker with his choice of weapon and constant attacks).
Wow this is great! I fell in love with MGS when it first came out and i was 10 years old. But i never played the original MG 1 and 2 so seeing the backstory fleshed out in this format is awesome. Can't wait for the next episode.

Holy cow. The sheer talent that it takes to create something like this.... It's incredible!! That voice acting so spot on!! BB sounds like mgs4 BB and V sounds like V. Omg. I was smiling from the first 10 seconds onwards. I honestly am floored by the quality of this production. Grade A stuff.
