This is a deeply immersive single-player WWI simulation. I like the fact that this simulation continues to have active involvement and support from it’s developers. There is also a broad range of mods available and an active community.
This game's campaign and Ai with IL2's flight model and graphics would be fhs ideal game

I've known for a while that I don't belong in the 'crash compilation/ Ace in a Day/ meme meme meme' Sim crowd but I still wasn't sure where I belonged.

This sim should be available in Steam! Only way for it to have the notoriety it deserves.
Yeah, unfortunately steam takes a third of the money though.

This game is absolutely immersive. Running away from an enemy back to your own lines. Fuel tank leaking and being wounded you barely land your crate behind your own lines. There's no other game that made me feel so excited and terrified at the same time. I own WOFF PE and i'm thinking about getting BHAH2. Is the difference between PE and this edition worth 50$? For everyone else: If you don't own it yet get it. IMO it's the best singleplayer experience in a flight sim you can get.
With the new recon update I’d say it is.
Is there VR support? I mainly just play IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles series, and Flying Circus, and their VR support has been great.

Wish ROF had more planes like this game does, just got the game and can't wait to get my hands on the high-winged planes.
It's great to see someone take the time to look into and explain some detail of WOFF BH&H II! Thanks. BTW at 34.40, you talk about instructions from your trainer - if you enable the "TAC" view Shift+T you can see comments from your trainer etc. Ctrl+T toggles those Advisor messages on/off below the TAC. Also when creating a pilot the "rookie or veteran" option is so you can simulate being a total rookie when autopilot is enabled (when really you are a veteran flier in real life ;)). So it means how your aircraft will fly if you enable the sim's 'autopilot'. Of course, there is no autopilot in WW1 (except using a bungee on your control stick ;)). BTW TrackIR head tracking makes the sim 10x times better!

It's an honour to buy your sim, and honoured to tip my hat to a legend from the days of Red Baron 3D mods! Apologies for this quick off-topic, but may I suggest a future project might be a remake of MiG Alley? As you know, there was already a pretty good Korea War mod for CFS3 so I feel it could be done. What do you think?
@@missingcat9293 thank you and nice to be remembered ;). However, just to clarify there are two of us working full time on WOFF and my business partner in this Mark "Winding Man" does the design part of the sim, campaign, WOFF manager and a lot more including A.I. etc - I help in all sorts of those areas with the odd idea and lots of testing etc. However my main job is working on the aircraft 3d models, FMs etc, websites and other items. MiG Alley is of course possible, but right now we have our work plates very full working on WOFF and WOTR.

Great video! I'd have a few questions:
Is WoFF the right game for me, when I'm looking for an immersive single player experience, which can be customized to be a little bit arcady, since I'm just a casual player, who is looking for some awesome dogfights with the flying circus, without having to become an actual pilot. Apropos:
Is it possible to custom paint your aircraft (similar to Red Baron or Crimson Skies)? It would be great, since it would add a lot of immersion imo. Are the paintjobs of Richthofens flying circus historically accurate?

Gerade frisch mein neues HOTAS bekommen, (altes kaputt) als mein ADHS Brain meldet... OI Aldda... Du wolltest immer WOFFBH&H zwo spielen... Klasse Video, danach direkt gekauft. Red Baron 1&2 waren damals meine Fav Flight Sim Games... Und Rise of Flight war nicht so mein Diing... Cheers.
I just got this game and I'm having lots of fun with it.
Is there a timeskip feature such as Warping; that's possible in CFS3 so I'm curious if it's in WoFF: BH&H II?
"Warp" is not there - we removed that as all physics in the world stopped, but we added a better version; time acceleration, so you can run at x2, x4, x8 etc and AI and everything else also runs at that speed with you.
I meant to add use the shift key with + or - to change timr acceleration speed.
Best game ever. Full stop. 🙂
How does this compare to Rise of Flight?
They both have their strengths, so being as independent as I can; if you are a serious WW1 nutter then you need both. WOFF focuses more on total immersive Single player - with superb AI (one of the best in any sim) our own historical deep dynamic campaign - of course with Quick Combat options too.
