Sorry I’m late to the party! Great video. You inspired me, a casual RoF and IL-2 flyer, to give WoFF a try. Jasta 19 December 25,1916. Quite a good bit of fun, but we’ve been grounded for a while!
She is nice! But man, it's been a while! It is true that WOFF is an older engine and isn't one of the most high fidelity flight models, but the planes all do handle very differently from each other and you can certainly appreciate the strengths and weaknesses of various airframes!
Yes, I believe it is a digital download exclusive. I then burn it on a blue ray, but you could store a backup on a flash drive or removable drive or whatever. I make sure to store a couple extra copies whenever a new version is released. Also make sure to put your order number on a doc and zip it up with the rest of the files!
Nice the Triplanes look really cool. Poor old Berger bought the farm due to some weird bug I got where my cockpit just disappeared and however much I cycled views with F1 and F6 etc it wouldn't come back. While I was trying to work out what happened we got bounced by Spads and as usual they chose me to shoot to pieces. 8( Sadly I was flying thinking how safe I felt as i was at the back of B wing and I had a full strength A wing just behind us...... Whoops. I will do some further testing to see what happened and keep trying to refine my Track IR setup as its still not super great. On your videos its all so smooth and great. Mine still gets stuck and jumps back to centre etc, particularly when I look up and left... So I need to keep experimenting with it a bit, as its all new to me.
Are you using my TrackIR file? It is in the comments of Let's Play Wings Over Flanders Fields #1, I believe! Also, you can save your pilots folder from the campaign directory and restore it if something like that happens in the future.
@@rickrawlings6095 I've tweaked some graphics setting and yes the track bar started from your one. It's more about adjusting the clip and stuff I think. Today's test seemed OK.. I was trying to use your circle and spot techniques.. Gunter Von Funter is arriving at jasta 4 soon.
Nice flying! Your channel was randomly recommended to me and I've never heard of this game before. I've played Rise of Flight and the Il2 series, just wondering if this game supports a HOTAS setup as I heard you talking about keyboard commands in the video? Also I went to the website in your description and noticed the company do a ww2 game. Do you have any opinions on whether Wings over the Reich is worth a look also? Regardless I'll be binge watching your previous campaigns and hopefully get up to speed for future videos 👍
Hey! Glad you found me! Yes, it does support HOTAS setups, I'm running a VKB stick with the Thrustmaster TWCS throttle and some Logitech pedals. And TrackIR, of course! I do have Wings Over the Reich, I just really don't fly WWII stuff that much. It is the same engine with the nice campaign and challenging AI. So far it only covers the Battle of France and Battle of Britain, so not too much Over the Reich yet. Check out my earlier How to WOFF three part series for more info on controller setup. I also have some IL2 and RoF modules, I was just always disappointed in the campaign mode and the AI. Best of luck!
