    At the time this was THE variety show that every singer wanted to be on. If you know this duo, you realize how nervous they were. But, god, did they deliver. Thank you for the reaction. They were indeed special.

    I love watching the Youth of today listening to the oldies and loving it. They had no equipment to enhance their voices. That's just pure talent. Keep up the great work you do.💜🙏💜🌸

    I'm so happy to see the younger generations enjoy the music 🎶 we had.There will never be another male duo that will surpass them .They started together in 1963 till 2003 except for a couple yrs because of a family tragedy that happened to Bill.

    You gave the best and sincerest reactions I've seen so far!!!! I was 15 when these boys sang this song on the Ed Sullivan Show. All their performances were done live and with raw talent. Period

  • @ladyg8614
    @ladyg8614 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    These boys were named as blue eyed soul for their soulful music. This song "Walk On" is about our Lord walking beside us throughout our paths in life..be they troubled or joyful..

  • @hopes-fears9219

    You'll never walk alone is one of those songs I've always loved, but never found the right version... Then I heard this one. I was utterly shocked. The Righteous Brothers could do no wrong.

    I was so, so fortunate to grow up in their era. I was 16 entering 1965 - the year this soul-wrenching performance appeared on Ed Sullivan. My reaction a moment ago was exactly the same as yours - hand and fingers on my head, trying to hold back tears of the joy of their great performance. Their music is deep within me, and many of my generation. We got some things right in our musical tastes, and they have endured for almost 60 years.

      Please look at Summertime, Somewhere, Justine, Bring it on home to me, and so many others. You know your audience loves them. Then there’s Linda Ronsteadt, Roberta Flack, Eric Clampton Tears in heaven, or Holy Mother with Pavarotti, Al Greene singing How do you mend a broken heart. All popular Classics

    G'Day Twon. I'm glad you have come back to reacting to more of The Righteous Brothers. Bass is the word for "deep" singers. Bill sings bass-baritone and Bobby sings counter tenor, which is higher than tenor. This song is from the musical, "Carousel." Another song that I'm sure you would love to hear by the duo is, "Soul And Inspiration". They also do a fun, improvised song, "What I'd Say" with Andy Williams on his TV show. I think that it may have been the same show where Bobby sang, "Unchained Melody." Bobby does a heart-wrenching solo of, "Stay With me Baby." These three songs are on video on You Tube. I'm looking forward to seeing your reactions and pressing the "like" button. Oo-roo!

    Great reaction.I like the live version a lot. Like it better than the studio version. I think the live version shows their vocals a lot better than the studio recording. If you can you should check out the original done by the great Roy Hamilton. He was one of Elvis's favorite singer. And was a big influence on Elvis.Here's a guy that should get reacted to but sadly isn't if you want to hear an incredible gospel operatic powerhouse of a voice.Just a few of his songs Don't let go. You can have her his version of unchained Melody recorded in early 1955 EbbTide So let there be Love which I think is one of his most beautiful recordings. listen to any of these songs or any of his other songs I guarantee you or anybody his will blow you the #@$& away✌️
